Dave and I treated
ourselves to a mini-vacation without kids to celebrate our 10 year
anniversary. We spent a long weekend in Boston to see the city and go to
a Red Sox game. Our lives slowed down a bit, we missed our kids like
crazy but it was wonderful!!!
Dave, especially, loved
the history of the city. We enjoyed walking Freedom Trail and loved
visiting the beautiful parks scattered throughout the city. We
walked 8-10 miles per day and that was offset by the delicious food and
drinks we consumed. We ate at Cheers where "Everybody Knows Your
Name" and had to stop at Mike's Bakery on the North End which was highly
recommended. Getting to see Fenway Park up
close and going to a Red Sox game was a dream come true! It was
definitely one of the highlights of our trip!!!

We couldn’t have left town without the HUGE help from our parents. We are so incredibly lucky!!! The boys were thrilled to spend time with their grandparents and enjoyed the sleepovers. Grandpa and Grandma drove Alex and Sean to their soccer games, baseball practice and even a friend’s pool party. They packed lunches, helped with homework and got the boys on the bus to school in the morning! Thanks a million! We left our boys in such loving hands! XOXO
