Last Summer Day...

It feels unnatural to be filling up the swimming pool on September 28th but we did today!  Sean and I had a super fun water fight going on in the yard and I was dousing Seanie with buckets of water and spraying him with the hose.  I felt a little guilty because the water was freezing cold but he loved it and wanted more!  Alex and Dad couldn’t miss out on the last Brewers game at Miller Park so spent the afternoon enjoying the ballgame with Grandpa and Grandma Michna.  They had so much fun!

Enjoying one last day in the water!

Alex was outnumbered today by Cubs fans!

Sean’s been working hard at learning his letters and the sounds each letter makes.  Ms. Lisa has the kids at daycare doing fun activities each day and Sean can’t wait to come home and show us what he has learned.  Sean participated in a pre-school screening last week and did great.  We just have to keep working on his communication.   Sean was excited to go to school for a day and even got to take home a book!

Alex is currently taking swim lessons and playing soccer with his school friends and loves them both.  He is certainly one tired boy by the end of the week though!  He is really enjoying soccer and he’s doing well at it.  It’s fun to watch him score goals and get excited!
Nice kick, Alex!

Beautiful Fall day for a soccer game!

Fall Weather

Alex is adapting well to Kindergarten but 5 days a week sure makes a tired boy on Friday!  Sean is doing great at daycare and is happy to see his friends again.  It’s fun to see the daily work and projects that the boys bring home each day.
We met some school friends at the park this morning and the boys put together a casual baseball game.  It was fun to watch!  We are spending time outside every chance we can get before it gets too cold.  Alex is doing great riding his bike and Seanie still loves his coupe car!
Having fun at the park!

Grandparents Day!

Grandparents are simply the best!  We are so blessed to have such loving people in our lives that would do anything for us!  We can’t thank you enough for all that you do!  We had a special day and even brought my 93 year old Grandma over to Rob and Carla’s house for the afternoon.  We always enjoy Grandma’s company and she can still make us laugh as she had everyone sneaking her Oreos all day long!

Alex had his first soccer game and I was a very proud Mom sitting in the stands watching my son play a sport that I enjoyed my entire life!  I wasn’t sure how Alex would like it or how good he would be at soccer, but he is really having fun with his friends.  He is aggressive and one of the fastest players out there.  I’m not biased or anything!  He even got some goals!  It was fun to watch him play and I can't wait until next week!

Zoo Day

Seanie and I had one last day together before I head back to work and Sean goes back to daycare.  I had a fun date with my little man.  First, we hit up Dunkin' Donuts for a tasty donut and much needed coffee for Mom.  Then it was off to the Zoo with Anna and Katelyn.  They had a ball together as you can see from all the pictures!

Back to School

We had a busy week with Alex starting school and Dave getting back into the groove.  Sean and I had some one-on-one time and I loved every second of it.  We had a fun playdate with Anna and took the kids to Helium to bounce around for awhile.  Then we treated the kids to ice cream at Culvers and before we knew it, Alex and Tyler were getting dropped off from the bus already!  Alex's first week of 5K went really well.  I love hearing all of the stories that he brings home!  We visited Daddy's classroom before the rush of students next week.  Also, Alex started soccer this past week and is really pumped to play his games.  I am very excited too!

We had a fun, relaxing Labor Day weekend.  We finally took the boys on a Miller Park tour to see the behind the scenes.  Their highlight was sitting in the dugout and walking on the field.  We've been going on bike rides which Alex and Sean both love and we played a little baseball in the yard this afternoon.  We're sad to see Dad go back to work this week but we hope he has a fabulous school year!!
