Noah's Ark / Ducks

We surprised the kids and took a spontaneous road trip to WI Dells on Saturday.  We spent most of the day at Noak’s Ark which was always a favorite pastime for me growing up.  We had an absolute blast!  I think the temperature hit above 90 degrees so the Wave pool was a good spot to be!  The kids loved the slides too and our favorite was the family tube rides. We ended our fun in the Dells with a relaxing tour on the Original Wisconsin Ducks before heading home.  What a great day!
First time at Noah's Ark!

Lovin' the views :)

Enjoying the Duck ride!

We had to find another pool to stay cool today as it was close to 90 degrees again so we met Grandma Beyer at Wirth Pool.  Alex and Sean just love the water so much!  Surprisingly, it wasn't too busy.  We swam all afternoon and it felt wonderful!  We also were able to enjoy our parish festival this past weekend and the boys helped me run the Pirate Ship game under the Children’s game tent.  They didn’t want to miss out on the fun either so they played some of the games and won some cool prizes.
Stayin' cool on this hot day!

Lovin' the water and the hot sun!

Havin' fun at the festival!

Enjoying the games :)

Happy Father's Day!!!

We had such a fun day celebrating Father’s Day with a backyard cookout and water party for the kids!  It was a beautiful day for the kids to run around in their bathing suits all afternoon.  They ran from the pool to the slip n slide and then through the hose.  They had a water balloon fight and played squirt gun tag.  Thanks to Uncle Mark for making it extra fun for them!

Dave didn’t get much of a break today as he was the grill master and cooked us all a delicious meal.  Alex and Sean are so blessed to have such a fun, caring and hard-working Dad who would do anything for them!  Thank you for taking such good care of us and for always putting a smile on our face!  We love you, Dad!  XOXO

We celebrated the dual "Disney's Frozen" birthday party for Elsa and Anna, I mean Anna and Katelyn on Saturday and we had double the fun!  The cousins played all kinds of yard games together.  Hailey put together a scavenger hunt for them, and then later in the evening, the kids were catching fireflys.  To be a kid again!!!  We had "snow" much fun celebrating Anna turning five and Miss Katelyn turning two!

Summer has begun!

I had a few days off to spend with Alex and Sean this past week so we kicked off summer in a super fun way!  We went to the zoo with Nana and enjoyed the animals, playground, train ride and picnic lunch.  We made a visit to the New Berlin library where the boys signed up for their summer reading program.  Reading is on our to-do list every day this summer!!!

Fun day at the zoo!

We had a play date with Tyler and Anna this past week.  The kids were on their best behavior for me since I was all on my own with four of them!  We kept busy and had a fun day of coloring, kickball, tag and Wii Baseball!  I also worked the Just Fore Kids charity golf outing on Friday and it was a blast for a great cause.  Thank goodness for the big tree of shade that covered us and kept us cool!
Coloring fun!
Picnic Lunch with the kiddos

Cheers to the Just Fore Kids golf outing!
Then it was hot, hot, hot on Saturday so the boys and I spent the afternoon at Wirth Park.  The 90 degree heat was a lot more tolerable submerged in a pool!  Alex and Sean played so nice together and rotated between the pools and the sandpit.  They are so lucky to have each other; a buddy wherever they go!  We finished the week off at St. John Vianney festival and went on some rides.  They certainly got their fill of rides and their favorite seems to be the Tilt a Whirl still!
Pool Day!
Snack break :)

They love the Tilt a Whirl!
Best buddies!
So much fun on the swings!

School's Out!

I can't believe it!  School's out and summer is finally here!  Alex is now a second grader and Seanie will start 4K in the Fall.  No more daycare for us!  I'm blown away by how much Alex learned this year in 1st grade.  He had an exceptional year and has grown so much in maturity and academics.  Way to go, Alex!  I can't wait to see what next year has in store for you!

Sean had his very last day of daycare at Miss Lisa's house.  He was definitely the leader of the group and everyone's favorite!  He's learned so much and he will miss seeing Miss Lisa and all his friends but Sean is more than ready to start school next year.  He was working extra hard on his speech the last couple of years with his speech pathologist and it's turned him into a smart, confident little boy.  We are so proud of you, Sean!

So blessed to have Miss Lisa!  She was the best in the business!!!
Summer has begun!
Our wait is finally over!  Baseball has started after two weeks of cancelled games.  Alex is in his element on the baseball field.  He's already hitting the ball well and loves the action as 1st baseman.  It's fun watching him enjoy the game so much!

Alex and his teammates!

We got to see Tyler and Anna play their game too!

Batter up!

Batting practice!
On Saturday, Hailey's Lego team sponsored a pancake breakfast as a fundraiser to raise money for their upcoming trip to DC.  Her team won the National Championship out in California so it's fun to support their success.  We also got to see Logan's soccer game on Saturday and then we went out for ice cream at Oscars for his birthday last week.  Another fun weekend!
