We took Alex to root on the Brew Crew tonight. We weren't sure how long a toddler would sit and behave during 9 innings of baseball but he did really well and lasted until the 7th inning. We bribed him with some yummy snacks during the game and he was busy entertaining all the spectators. This kid loves the attention!

Zoo A La Carte

This past weekend we checked out the Zoo a la carte. Surprisingly, it was the first trip to the zoo all summer! It was neat to see Alex's reaction to all the animals. He was just a baby the last time we went. I think his favorite was looking at the fish because he would run right up to the fish tank and press his tiny little nose against the glass. We had to ride the choo-choo train and Alex enjoyed his first root beer float!

Birthday Recap

Turning 30 wasn't all that bad. I had an awesome weekend with the fam!. We celebrated my big day at the State Fair and then we had drinks and birthday shots to cap the night. Two of my cousins were in town from Miami and Atlanta which made it extra special. Dave and I spent a couple days in Lake Geneva this weekend and took a romantic boat tour on Saturday which had fireworks and all. Then on Sunday, we spent the day in Chicago. We went on a Wrigley Field tour and took a stroll through Navy Pier. The air show was happening on Lake Shore Drive so that was a nice bonus for us. It was a jam-packed weekend but a super fun one!! Thanks to everyone that celebrated with me!

Master Dave

This is the one and only time I will refer to my husband as Master Dave as he requested to be called but that doesn't take away from the huge accomplishment he just achieved in receiving his Masters in Education. I take a little credit of being the nagging wife but he was the one that worked his butt off this summer to finish and we are SO proud of him!! We celebrated his success with a cookout today with our families. It was humid but at least it didn't rain. Thank you to everyone for coming. We had so much fun!!
