Great America

We almost cancelled because of the heat but decided to go for it and took the kids to Great America on Wednesday.  We roasted our butts off in the 90 degree heat!!!  Carla and Tyler joined Alex and Sean and we all had a super fun day!!!  The lines weren't as long and the kids kept cool with spray bottles.  Tyler was daring enough to ride the Eagle and Viper with Alex even though he was an inch too short but Carla got him on anyway!  The Demon seemed to be the favorite this year!  This was Sean's first time at Great America and he loved everything!!!  It sure felt good to sit in the air condition on the way home!!!

Vacation Bible School

Alex and Sean went to Vacation Bible School at Holy Apostles last week and had so much fun learning about Ancient Egypt.  Sean was old enough to join in the fun this year and it was a nice introduction to school for him.  He did great and couldn't wait to tell us about his day and show us what he made!  Alex was sad to see the week end as well and enjoyed seeing his friends from school!
Alex didn't mind he was in a group of mostly girls!

Seanie's having fun with his new friends!

We are finding water every where we go to beat this heat wave and humidity!  We hit up Wirth Pool yesterday before the storms forced us to leave.  Alex has progressed as a swimmer and took on the high dive for the first time.  He is not afraid!  He did fantastic and had no problem swimming in the deep end by himself.  Sean loved the water slide and I enjoyed it too!
Staying cool at Wirth pool :)

My little fishy!

There goes Alex off the high dive!

Slip n slide time at home!
Alex had his last NBAA baseball game this past week.  It was fun to watch him play and neat to see the boys improve from one year to the next.  Alex is definitely focused when it comes to baseball and he is very passionate about the game.  I'm excited to see him at the next level!

Green Meadows

We spend a day at Green Meadows Farm every summer and it never disappoints us.  Even as the boys get older, it seems they always have new activities every year for all ages.  We enjoyed a hayride, pony ride and the tractor ride.  There were fun games sprinkled throughout the farm.  Bikes to ride, jungle gyms, fire truck to climb on and much more.  They had chickens to hold and a cow to milk and tons of other animals to see.  We had a great time!

Seanie's enjoying the tractor ride!

Hi Boys!  Enjoy the ride!

One more tractor ride around the farm :)
In other big news - Sean is starting to learn how to ride his bike without training wheels.  He is a work in progress and has to practice more.  But he was on his own for Daddy for a short while so he's doing great so far!  Way to go Sean!  Can't wait for our next family bike ride!!!
Looking good, Sean!
This looks like trouble!

Water fight!  Alex doesn't seem to mind the cold water!

4th of July!!!

We had such a fun 4th of July.  It’s one of our favorite holidays!  We started off the weekend at Malone Park and enjoyed their annual festival with Papa and Nana.  Malone just completed an all accessible, all- inclusive community built playground and the grand opening was this past weekend.  Sean couldn’t wait to check it out!  It was very impressive I must say!  The festival was a great way to start off the weekend with music, beer, food, rides and games for the kiddos!

Such a cool playground!

Taking their turn on the giant swing!

We started out the 4th of July with the Tosa parade with Grandma and Mark.  The boys loved it and walked away with a bag full of candy.  We had lunch at Grandpa and Grandma’s house and spent the afternoon visiting with Ralph and Ginny who was in town from San Diego.  We couldn’t have had a nicer day for the Fourth to sit outside and relax!
Happy 4th of July!

Then it was off to Grandpa and Grandma Beyer’s house for more Patriotic fun with the cousins.  The kids had a blast and we had a yummy cookout for dinner.  We ended the night with some of Dave’s fireworks and a bonfire which we all enjoyed.  We even caught the fireworks at Malone Park on the way home so we definitely had a full day of fun!

Boys will be boys!

If the weekend wasn’t fun enough, the cousins were invited over to Danny and Nikki’s house on Little Muskego Lake for some boating fun on Tuesday.  They had an absolute blast!  Danny took the boat out and the kids all took their turn tubing.  Alex was a little hesitant on the tube because of the bumpy waves but Seanie was laughing the whole time and loved every second of it.  Such a fun day spent at the lake.  Thank you to Dan and Nikki for opening up your home and entertaining us all day!
