Memorial Day Weekend

We packed a lot in but it was a fun, relaxing Memorial Day weekend.  We celebrated Hailey’s 9th birthday and Logan’s 6th birthday with a super fun party on Saturday.  The weather was beautiful and the kids had a blast running around outside.  We also celebrated Carla and Steve’s birthday this afternoon at my parents’ house. We were outside every chance we could get.  We played at the park, Dave took the boys to Bradford Beach and Alex and Sean enjoyed running through the hose to cool off.  It was wonderful!

Alex finally got to play in his first baseball game last Monday.  He was up to bat twice and made it around the bases to score both times.  He rotated different positions on the field and he’s learning a lot about the game.  He feels like such a big shot out on the field and I love watching him play!

Summer's Coming!

I just realized that Alex only has three more weeks of school...Is that even possible!?!  I guess summer is coming afterall and we couldn't be more excited!  We had a fun weekend of a baby shower, birthday party, soccer game and grilling outside.  Let's hope this warm, spring weather continues!

My little Seanie

Seriously, this kid makes me smile!  He is such a sweetheart and can be so silly like his Daddy.  He can be so stubborn like his momma but so loveable!  He is just such a joy to watch grow up.  He is doing beyond awesome on the potty.  I can't remember the last time he had an accident.  He even takes naps and goes to bed at night with undies on instead of a diaper and he wakes up dry!  Just amazing!  Thank you for going easy on us, Sean!  We are so proud of you!!
What a cutie pie!

Alex had his very first baseball game tonight.  He's a New Berlin Angel!  He has been dreaming of this day since he was born!  He asked me this morning if they were going to announce his name like they do for the Brewers and if there would be a mascot at his game.  Too cute!  Tonight, the team got 1/2 inning of baseball in before the rain came down.  Just as Alex was walking up to bat for the very first time, they called the game.  My heart broke to see him so disappointed but there's always next week!

Alex's Birthday!

And just like that, Alex is FIVE!  He had a great birthday week.  Alex had school on his actual birthday but I was able to meet him for lunch.  Then we headed over to Miller Park to eat at Fridays Front Row for dinner which was fun!

Alex brought his classmates these awesome Miller Park cookies!

We had a LEGO party for him on Saturday and we lucked out with a beautiful day.  Alex woke up at 5:30am in the morning and every hour he would ask if it was time for his party yet.  He was one excited 5 year-old!  His friends and cousins came to play and it was everything he had anticipated!  Thanks to all that came to celebrate and help make Alex’s birthday special!

 MOTHER'S DAY

We are so incredibly lucky to have these two beautiful women in our life that we call “Mom” and “Grandma.”  They would do anything for us and are amazing role models.  We are truly learning from the BEST.  Thank you for ALL that you do for us!  We are so blessed!!

I love you, Mom!

We are so lucky to have you in our lives!

High Interest Day

The most anticipated day of the year for all grades at Holy Apostles is High Interest Day which was today.  I was able to volunteer with the 4K class and help with all the fun and exciting activities.  I can’t explain how much we had!

The day started with a very animated and funny zoo presentation.  Then the kids had some cooking fun and made their own apple pies.  The next activity involved four very fun science experiments including making their own lava lamps and making “elephant toothpaste.”

After lunch, the kids were busy making super cute crafts for Mothers Day.  I tried my hardest not to look at the “LOVE” painting Alex created on a canvas for me but it was so darn adorable!  After all that hard work, it was outside for relay races!

Phew!  The day flew by so quickly moving from one activity to the next but it was so great to see Alex in his element at school with all his friends.  Such a fun day!!!
