Katelyn Marie

She's finally here!  Rob & Carla had a healthy, baby girl this morning!!  Katelyn Marie was born just before 11:00AM weighing 7lb 7oz.  She's a bundle of beauty and I couldn't be more excited to be an Aunt again!  Alex has so many questions about the baby and he is so sweet with her.  Sean doesn't really want anything to do with her quite yet.  It's going to be fun having a newborn in the family again!  Congrats to Rob, Carla, big brother, Tyler, and big sister, Anna!

Before meeting Katelyn, we enjoyed a Sunday afternoon at the ballpark.  It was a hot one but we had so much fun together.  I love watching the excitement in the boys' eyes when cheering on the Brewers at Miller Park!

Last week, my Grandma turned 93 years old!  Yowza!  She looks amazing and still makes us laugh!  She's such a strong woman and someone we all look up to in so many ways.  Happy Birthday, Grandma!  We love you!!

Drive-in Movie / Festival

We had a super fun summer weekend!  We went to a drive-in movie in New Berlin with the Brenton clan and watched Frozen on Friday.  It was neat for the kids to cuddle all together in back of the car and watch on the big screen.  They got a little squirrely towards the end but nothing popcorn couldn’t help!

On Saturday, we took the boys to the parish festival at Holy Apostles . Alex and Sean were so excited go on the rides.  It drizzled a bit but we made it through and it ended up being a really nice night.  We bought the boys wristbands so they could ride all the rides they wanted.  I couldn’t believe it but they went on rides for the full 3 hours! 

Sean LOVED the cars and that was his favorite for sure.  He also got to ride the rollercoaster and train.  Alex was just tall enough to make it on the tilt-a-whirl this year.  He found a classmate to ride with and he had a great time!  I’m glad he has my adventurous side for the rides and not Dad’s queasy stomach!

Happy Father's Day!

Alex and Sean are so blessed to have such an amazing Dad!  He would be a stay-at-home Dad if he could which I know there's not a lot of Dads that would ever say that or even survive alone with their kids all day.  This week kicks off the first week of summer for Dave and the boys and they always have an incredible time together.  There's so many fun adventures that Dave takes them on and I look forward to hearing all about them!

Our Dads are so special to us and we can't thank them enough for everything they've done for us.  They've sacrificed so much over the years and have always put us first.  Our Dads have turned into really great Grandparents which Alex and Sean really admire.  Thank you for spoiling them and loving us unconditionally.  We are so blessed!

Spring Concert

The boys participated in the Spring Concert with daycare and it was priceless to watch!  You can really see their personalities come alive when they are up on stage with their friends.  They are turning into such confident, outgoing individuals.  Seanie, especially, was in his element tonight and really had the audience laughing with his dance moves and facial expressions.   Alex was part of the “graduation” ceremony and looked sharp in his cap and gown.  When he was asked what he wanted to be when he grows up, he surprised nobody by answering “A Baseball Player.”

Festival Fun

We spent Sunday afternoon at St. John Vianney’s church festival where the boys got their first taste of rides for the summer.  Sean is able to go on more rides and he’s big enough to go all by himself now (which is a little nerve racking for me).   But it’s so sweet to see Alex take him under his wing and help him out. 

 

I have a few days off to spend with my boys this week so we're making the most of it and keeping busy!  It's so much fun hanging out with my boys!  With the stretch of a few hot days, the boys are in their swim trunks every chance they can get jumping in the pool, squirting water bottles or running through the hose.  I am cold just looking at them!

I'm late on this blog post-
Last week, we celebrated the 3rd birthday of my sweet and spunky goddaughter, Miss Anna Banana!

Alex has had quite the fan club at his baseball games the last couple of weeks!  Thanks to all of you that have come to watch him play.  He is so excited to have you there and loving every minute of playing baseball!

4K Graduation

Alex graduated from 4K at Holy Apostles today which also meant it was his last day of school!  The kids put on a super cute program reciting prayers they’ve learned and sang songs for us.  We had a picnic and then the kids played games outside.  Alex had a great year at school and did just as well as I expected.  He made so many great friends and learned so much!  I am so very proud of him!!
