Trick or Treat!

Trick or Treat was SO much fun this year.  The weather couldn't have been more perfect and all the kiddos were able to participate and they all had fun running door to door together.  Alex and Seanie went as the Italian and Hotdog Racing Sausages.  Sean's costume seemed a little heavy for him so he turned into a cute 'lil shark mid-way through!  We ended the night with yummy caramel apples and a toasty bonfire!

Tyler turned FOUR today and what better way to spend your birthday than trick or treating!?!  His birthday party was on Saturday so we had back-to-back celebrations!  He sure loves his Woody so his Halloween was very fitting.  We had so much fun and wish you a super-duper exciting year ahead, Tyler!

Pumpkins & Parties

It was a whirlwind weekend but a super fun one!  I was able to chaperone Alex’s field trip to the Pumpkin Farm on Friday with his 4K class.  It was so much fun to see Alex in his element with his friends and I had a good time too with the parents that went along.  The kids went on a spooky hayride which led to a corn maze and pumpkin patch.  There were games for the kids, a small petting zoo, and a bounce house.  I got a little glimpse of Alex in the classroom and I loved that he was having fun and learning.  The teacher said if there is any patch of grass in sight, Alex is playing baseball with his friend, Ben.  Gotta love it!

Spooky hayride!

We were the first group through the corn maze and into the pumpkin patch!

The fishing pond was a big hit!

On Saturday, we had a double birthday party to attend.  All the boys in Alex's class were invited to a birthday/costume party.  Seems like the theme among the boys was super heroes except for Alex, of course.  He gets to be the Italian Racing Sausage this year and he is so pumped!   Then it was off to my friend Zack & Katie's house to celebrate Ty's 5th birthday.  We got to meet little Miss Josephine who just turned 1 month old!  We had a good time as always!!

Cake Time!
We ended the weekend carving pumpkins.  Seanie has been so protective over those pumpkins since we brought them home on Friday.  He insisted on putting them on the couch next to him while he watched TV and you can't dare move them!  The boys don't love pumpkin carving and they usually give me just a few minutes of their time which leaves most of the work for Mom.  But we still had a good time with it and I think they turned out okay in the end.

The boys looked inside the pumpkin and Seanie goes, "Ewww" and
Alex says, "I don't think this is a good idea."  LOL!

Lovin' our favorite honey crisp apples!

The boys were thrilled that we got to see Uncle Mark play his volleyball game this past week.  You did a great job, Mark!  Keep up the good work!!
Uncle Mark and his two favorite nephews!
Our other BIG news is that Seanie is now in a BIG boy (toddler) bed.  He has been climbing out of his crib so we thought it was time to convert to the toddler bed for him.  He was a little confused at first because his head always nestled in the corner of the crib that we just took down.  But he's doing pretty good adjusting and it hasn't been an issue so far with him getting out of bed.  Yay for Sean!

Last time in the crib :(

Pumpkin Farm

I love this time of year...Autumn!  We went to Linder's Pumpkin Farm in New Berlin for some Fall fun with the boys. There was so much to do and Alex and Sean wanted to try out everything all at once.  They had a petting zoo, potato bag slides, corn maze, games, train rides and racing speedway to name a few.  The weather was beautiful and we had a GREAT time as a family!

The Boys

Seanie is such a funny kid and cracks me up with the faces he makes!  He's been testing the boundaries lately though.  We are still battling the crib with him.  Naptime is usually the only issue.  Yesterday, I put him back in his crib four times before he fell asleep.  Every time I would open his door and find him freely roaming his room, he'd turn to me with a big smile and say, "Hi Mommy!" like he did nothing wrong.  This afternoon, Dave not only found Sean out of his crib, but he was completely naked and had a bloody lip.  At least we didn't find poop smeared all over the walls like some horror stories I've heard!  We'll see what this week brings with our little Seanie Man!!

Trouble Maker!
Alex loves school and it's so much fun to hear all the stories he brings home.  He found a classmate that loves the Brewers just as much as he does so they play baseball at recess and have become best buds.  It's amazing how much Alex is learning and he'll come home with cool little rhymes or fun songs to help him remember things.  I just can't believe how fast he is growing up!
