Birthday Parties!

Oh, how I wish every weekend was a 3-day weekend!  We had so much to celebrate this Memorial Day weekend which started with Hailey and Logan's birthday party on Saturday.  Then, we were off to Grandpa & Grandma's house on Sunday for a cookout while Ralph & Ginny were in town from San Diego.  It's always great to see them!  Then, we ended the weekend with my Mom's famous birthday meal for Steve and Carla.  Whew!  The boys are sleeping soundly tonight after all of our fun outings!
Hailey's 8th birthday!  This girl is going to be a great athlete!  And she starts soccer in a couple of weeks.  Woo-hoo!

Logan's 5th birthday!  My sweet Godson is the silliest, most energetic little boy I know!

That's my Alex!  Always the comedian :)

Logan's Party!

Logan's 5th birthday is in about a week so he had a birthday party with all his friends at Altius Gymnastics in Franklin.  Alex was so excited to celebrate with him and run around the gym.  The kids jumped on the trampoline, climbed a rock wall, went for a bucket ride and played games with the big parachute.  There was also a cargo net that the kids could climb and then free fall into a big foam pit and I had my doubts that Alex was going to be able to do it but he did and I was so proud of him!  Logan was the shining star of the day though and it was great to see him having so much fun!  Happy (early) Birthday, Logan!  You are one spunky and fun-loving 5 year old boy!!
Logan & Alex havin' fun with the parachute!

My super champ on the cargo net!  Way to go, Alex!

Seanie had some water fun with Dad this afternoon!

Obsessive Alex
There are no words to describe the magnitude of Alex's obsession over the racing sausages and the Brewers.  It's seems uncanny for a 4 year old to have such an obsession but Alex does.  I dropped him off at daycare the other day and heard his friend say, "Hey, Carlos."  That would be Carlos Gomez from the Brewers which we are often instructed to call him at home and apparently he has the kids at daycare calling him that too.  OMG!  He lives, breathes and talks baseball 24/7, literally as he said to me tonight, "Goodnight, Mom, I hope I dream about Miller Park tonight."
Alex setup his bobbleheads around the perimeter of his room to watch the Racing Sausages!

Stubborn Seanie
My Seanie is growing up so fast and is so fun and loveable but can also be so stubborn if he doesn't get his way.  If you tell him he can't have something that he wants, his lip will drop to the floor and he will beg you with those puppy dog eyes or, worse, he will bury his face in the carpet and turn into a complete mess in a matter of seconds.  Sometimes all it takes is a look and if he doesn't like it, he'll point at you and yell "No" and start crying.  I can't help but laugh!
Oh just look at that face!

Party Time!

We've had so many birthday celebrations for Alex that he now thinks he is five years old.  We had our family over on Saturday to celebrate Alex's special day and he was in all his glory.  In between the raindrops, the kids were able to play outside.  Alex opened so many nice presents including a Brewers backpack for school next fall, bubbles, chalk, a nerf gun, cars playmat, Legos, bobbleheads, clothes, racing Hotdog shirt, squirt guns, baseballs and bases to run and a really cool baseball shelf for his room that Uncle Andy made.  He sure is a spoiled 4 year old :)  The best part about the party was watching Alex having so much fun!

Havin' fun outside!

We celebrated Mother's Day and relaxed by Rob & Carla's house this afternoon.  I feel like the luckiest woman in the world to have Alex and Sean call me "Mom."

We are all so blessed to have our Moms and Grandmas so close to us.  They have played such an integral part in shaping who we are today and we are so thankful for them!  Happy Mother's Day!!

Alex's 4th Birthday!

Our sweet Alex turned four years old today so Dave and I took the day off to spend with the birthday boy.  We started off going to the Zoo with the boys and the weather couldn't have been more perfect.  We rode the train and Carousel, both of which Seanie was very skeptical about.  We played outside all afternoon and then we headed over to cheer on the Brewers at Miller Park with Grandma & Grandpa Michna and Auntie Joan.  We had awesome seats right behind home plate and Alex was able to say hi to Bernie Brewer and the Italian Sausage.  What a super fun day for this new four year old!  Alex was officially pooped out from his special day when we tucked him into bed.  Happy Birthday, Alex!  We love you and we are so proud of you!!

Running the Bases

We had a busy weekend full of family and lots of fun.  On Friday, we went to Hailey and Logan's house to play.  Logan and Alex are inseparable when they are together.  On Saturday, Tyler and Anna came over and the kids had a blast playing outside.  I'm always amazed at their energy levels, especially Miss Anna Banana!

On Sunday, Dave and I enjoyed a delicious pre-Mother's Day brunch with his Mom and Grandma at the Botanical Gardens.  Then, Dave and Alex rooted on the Brewers at Miller Park.  Alex even got to run the bases and did awesome all by himself!  Dave said it was a proud Father/Son moment but he's realizing how fast Alex is growing up so it's kinda bitter sweet!

Pretty soon those training wheels will be coming off!

Seanie insisted he swing with "Melmo" and the cluster of balls!

So much sibling love!

Anna pulling Sean in the wagon - Priceless!
