Halloween Weekend

We had a festive, fall weekend and Alex & Sean were so excited to spend it with their cousins. Tyler turned 3 years old on Saturday so we celebrated with a big birthday bash at the Brenton’s house. The kids were hyper as usual and everyone enjoyed so many fall-themed treats!

All the cousins got together again today for Trick or Treating in New Berlin. The weather was beautiful and the kids looked so great in their costumes. Alex was Woody from Toy Story and Seanie was my little turtle this year. It was fun to watch them run from house to house with so much excitement. They always have a blast when they are together!

Ty's Birthday

Alex and Sean’s friend, Ty, turned 4 years old so we celebrated with a birthday party at Swan’s Pumpkin Farm in Franksville. It was the perfect fall day and there were so many activities for the kids – Haunted Corn Maze, Spook House, Train Ride, Pony Ride, Hay Ride, Puppet Show and Petting Zoo. The Spook House scared Alex a bit so I hope he doesn’t have nightmares tonight. Seanie loved petting the goats and the hay ride was my favorite :) We headed over to the Ouradnik’s house for some yummy food and drinks and the kids had so much fun playing together and jumping in the bounce house. Great party with great friends!

Art Museum

We had another busy weekend and enjoyed every minute of it.  Rob’s brother got married on Saturday so we celebrated in the marriage of Dan & Nikki at the Art Museum downtown.  It was a gorgeous venue and we had a really fun time.  Outside of the beautiful bride and her groom, my niece and nephew stole the show as flower girl and ring bearer.  My sister appointed me to be in charge of getting Tyler and Anna down the aisle at church.  Not an easy task with a 3 year old and 17 month year old that have an agenda of their own.  Tyler wanted to hold Anna’s hand but Anna wanted nothing to do with her brother so he instead held her flowers.  Anna stopped along the way to chit-chat with the guests and flash that pretty smile of hers so it took them awhile but they eventually made it and I couldn’t have been prouder of them!

It was a cold, rainy day outside today so we laid low which was perfect.  We decided to carve our pumpkins that we picked last weekend.  Alex thought it was pretty gross to clean out the guts of the pumpkin but he was a good sport about it and we ended up carving out the Polish Sausage for him.

Ewwww, gross!

Seanie was monitoring our progress :)

Pumpkin Farm

We met the cousins today at Linder’s Pumpkin Farm and I was pleasantly surprised with how much stuff they had for the kids. I wish we didn’t have to bundle up so much but the cousins had a really fun time together. We got to feed the goats and they had a small petting zoo. They had a giant slide for the kids and some swings and a teeter-totter. They even had an old school merry-go-round that we used to love as kids. We picked out pumpkins, ran through the corn maze and the kids got a special train ride. What a great way to spend a fall day! Can’t wait to carve our pumpkins! There might be a Polish Sausage on our doorstep when it’s all done!!
Fall is in the air!

Oooh, how 'bout this big one, Dad!
