The first week of school is officially under our belts and it couldn't have gone better!!! Alex was SO excited to start 2nd grade this year and he is off to a great start! Seanie did awesome at school and is already making friends. He comes home and tells me about the songs he learned and all the pictures he colored. He is having so much fun but he's also tired by the end of the day. On Thursday, I woke him up for school and he asks in a groggy voice, "Mom, do I have school today?" I said, "Yes, honey, you do." He asks in all seriousness, "When do I get a day off?" LOL!

The big week continued for Sean because he officially learned how to ride his bike with NO training wheels! All it took was for Dad to let go and let him figure it out on his own and he did. About a month ago I promised Sean we would go out and celebrate when he learned to ride his bike. So that enticed him to practice and also turned Alex into his biggest fan of encouragement. I didn't think he would learn so fast but he did! We made good on our promise and went to Portillos for burgers and vanilla shakes. Way to go, Sean!!!

Labor Day weekend was full of bonfires, cookouts and time spent with family. We had a fire at home and made yummy s'mores with the boys to cap off a long week. Then we spent the afternoon by Uncle Paul and Aunt Pat's on Sunday and enjoyed the beautiful weather with great company. The kids played into the dark night and didn't want to leave! We ended the weekend by Grandpa and Grandma Michna's house for a delicious afternoon cookout. So much fun!!!
