Go Brewers!

Alex was lucky enough to go to his very first Brewers game tonight. I'm sure it will be the first of many visits to Miller Park. He was such a good boy through the 7 innings we were there. He was in awe of the stadium and stayed awake almost the entire time to watch the Brewers win.

The Brewers' good luck charm

I can't wait to come back here!

Only 57 days to go!

We had a second baby shower for Carla but this time it included all her friends. The weather kept us indoors once again but the day was great and Carla got so many nice things for Baby Brenton. A couple more final touches on the nursery and they'll be ready for their little one to arrive!

Happy Birthday, Congrats, Hello & Goodbye

Uncle Paul & Aunt Pat had a party that celebrated just about every special occasion you could think of for my cousins Brian, David, Theresa, Greg & Nick. The party was on Saturday which happened to fall on Brian's 34th birthday. We also celebrated the engagement of Nick and his new fiancé, Ruth. In addition to that, Greg and Carrie brought the newest Beyer to the party, Noah, who was just 5 days old. Sorry, Alex - You are no longer the youngest in the family.
Noah Marques - 5 days old

Aunt Jan and all her great-nieces & great-nephews

Not done celebrating yet. We always have a party at this time of year because this is when my cousin, David, and his son, Brady, can come "home" from Florida. David works for the Miami Heat so he only makes it to Milwaukee once or twice a year. It's always good to see them and catch up. In addition to the welcome home celebration, it was also a goodbye to Theresa party. She's making the move to Atlanta to further her career and to be closer to her boyfriend. We're sad to see her leave, but we know she will visit us often!

So Happy Birthday Brian, Welcome Home David & Brady, Goodbye Theresa and Congratulations to Nick, Ruth, Greg, Carrie & Noah!

We'll miss you, Theresa

Busy Weekend

We took advantage of the summer and jam-packed the weekend full of fun. We visited Katie and Ty on Friday and had a play date with Amber, Julie and Lauren on Saturday. Alex loves hanging out with his best bud, Ty, and he managed to get a smooch from his girlfriend, Lauren.
Future trouble-makers

Let's build a BIG tower with my blocks!

Then Grandma Michna and Auntie Joan watched Alex so we could have a night out. First, we watched the Brewers win and then we headed over to State Fair with Ann and Mark for some root beer milk and chocolate covered bananas. It was the perfect night!

When Alex woke up in the night to eat, we found him on his belly so he has officially rolled from his back to his stomach. Now, all he wants to do is flip over but he usually settles for some kind of side position when he sleeps.

Alex turned himself into a little pretzel trying to roll over

We went to State Fair today as a family so we took Alex along. Despite the humidity, he did exceptionally well. We saw some animals, listened to some music, ate some great food and then we were out of there. Our busy weekend ended with a delicious dinner at Steve and Jenny's house.

So this is where the Easter Bunny hides out!

Cool , look at the goat, Mommy!

New and exciting...

Alex is growing up from baby to little boy. He's developing quite the personality and makes us laugh with each smile and eyebrow raise. Here's what he's been up to lately -

He's now into his Activity Bouncer and loves exploring with all the fun new toys. He's already got the hang of the frogger that spins around in circles.
Are you dizzy yet Mr. Frogger?!?

He's getting so strong with his leg muscles. He'll easily stand on our laps for minutes at a time and hardly needs our support for balance. This kid might be walking before he's crawling!
Don't let me go, Daddy!

Alex's new hobby is reading as you can see. He especially likes the sports section of the newspaper.

Hmm...Did the Brewers win last night?!

He stays awake more during the day but when it's time to nap, he loves to cuddle up with Mommy or Daddy. He'd sleep in our arms all the time if we'd let him. He's sleeping pretty good during the night and usually gives us between 6-8 hours of solid sleep. ZZZZzzzzzzzzzz...

Barely hangin' on...

...to my 20s. Grandpa & Grandma Michna watched Alex last night so Dave and I could go to The Melting Pot for my birthday. We had so much fun and the food was delicious. My favorite was the chocolate fondue for dessert!

The celebration continued tonight at my Mom and Dad's house with pizza & ice cream sundaes which everyone loves! I got lots of nice cards, gifts and birthday wishes all day long which made the day even more special. Alex was in his glory too as he got passed around from person to person. He even managed to leave his (spit-up) mark on each one.

Happy Birthday, Mommy!

We're getting closer...

...to Baby Brenton's arrival. We had a baby shower for Carla this afternoon and sent her home with so many wonderful gifts for her and the baby to enjoy. We were hoping for a nice summer day but when the weather didn't cooperate, we had to move everything inside. We were thrown a curve ball when the power went out from the storm but luckily we had a backup generator to keep things going and everyone happy! All in all, it was a fun day and the mom-to-be looked adoreable with her baby bump.

A kiss for Baby Brenton

Ooh, I felt a kick!

3 Months Old

No doctor appointment this month but if our calculations are right, Alex now weighs 14.5 lbs and is 23 1/4 inches long. His coordination is getting better and he tries to put everything into his mouth (usually just his hands succeed). He loves spending time with Daddy during the day while Mommy is away at work. They usually end up hanging out at the lakefront. Alex is so close to rolling from his back to his tummy now. I'm sure victory is near and there will be a post to follow.

Piece of Cake

Alex has been working on his strength and he makes rolling over from his tummy to his back look like a piece of cake these days. Now we just have to get him to roll from his back to his tummy!

Ooh, these keys taste good.

Go Brewers!

Look at my big boy bottle - Now, if I can only get my lips around it.
