German Fest

We met up with Papa and Nana, along with our cousins, for some yummy brats and beer at German Fest on Friday.  We tried some new foods, enjoyed the music and the kids had a blast playing on the swing sets together!!!

We are finally enjoying what feels like summer weather.  We spent one afternoon at Wirth Park to cool down.  We took water guns and they were a huge hit!  We’ve been having a ton of fun in our backyard between the Slip n Slide and water balloons fights and setting up the pools and sprinklers for the boys.  This is what summer is all about!!!  We also took a ride to South Shore Beach and checked out some of the Air Show this afternoon.  That was pretty cool to watch!!!

Green Meadows Farm

We spent the day at Green Meadows Farm on Sunday and had so much fun!  We were there about 4 hours and the boys went from one activity to another.  We checked out the animals and Alex even held a chicken.   We went on a tractor ride, as well as, a tractor train ride which was our favorite!  There were pony rides, bikes and tractors to ride, swing sets to play on - all kinds of fun things to do!

Baseball season for Alex is officially is over.  I can’t believe how much Alex improved from last season.  He was lucky enough to play on the team with his cousin, Tyler, and a handful of other Holy Apostles players.  Alex lives and breathes baseball!  It was so enjoyable to watch and I look forward to watching him get more competitive as the years go on.

Dad has been keeping the boys busy once again this week.  They cooled off at Wirth Pool this morning.  They spent the day at the zoo one afternoon.  They went to see Inside Out the other day at the movies.  Countless walks to the pond and bike rides and probably a good amount of wrestling with each other!  Grandma Michna had a special day with Sean at the Zoo last week since her company sponsored a night out.  Sean had a blast and couldn’t stop talking about all the cool things they did together!

4th of July!!!

We had a super fun-filled 4th of July weekend!  We enjoyed the festival at Malone Park on Friday with rides, music, games and yummy food!  Then we took in the Tosa parade on Saturday with Grandpa and Grandma Michna.  We enjoyed lunch afterwards and blew off some fireworks.  Then headed over to Papa and Nana's house later for more fun with the cousins!  Played a little baseball, enjoyed more yummy food, blew off some fireworks and had a bonfire!  So many memories and so much fun jam-packed into just one day!

Festival Fun at Malone Park!

The boys are enjoying their summer and spent the rest of the weekend keepin' busy.  Alex is all about the baseball and Sean loves getting wet and swinging on the swings in our backyard.  We went for a family walk to the pond tonight and had fun exploring!  These two boys get along with each other so well - I hope they realize how lucky they are to have each other!!!
