6 Years

Dave and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary tonight with a Packers win and steaks on the grill for a delicious dinner at home. We had a fun date night last night too while Grandpa & Grandma Michna watched the boys. So much has changed in 6 years but we feel so blessed to have each other and our lovelies, Alex & Sean. I am one lucky girl to be surrounded everyday by my three favorite boys!

6 years and counting...

Dave took Alex & Seanie to visit Annie at school this afternoon and they took advantage of the nice fall weather and went for a walk in the woods by the lakefront.  On Friday, Tyler and Anna came over to play with the boys and the kids had such a good time.  It’s fun to see them interact since they are so close in age.

Fall is Here!

The winter coats have officially been brought out and our summer toys have been put away. The boys love playing outside so the weather won’t stop us as long as we dress warm. Alex’s coordination is getting better and better. He still loves to play catch with Dad and I think that’s his favorite but he’s also trying out new sports. He likes running after the football and diving all around and he likes playing soccer and volleyball with Mom. Seanie loves the outdoors too and keeps busy with pushing the broom around outside and exploring anything he can get his hands on. Sean’s newest trick is blowing us kisses which just melts my heart!

Football season is here!

The Boys

It’s been awhile since I gave updates on the boys. Seanie is a little spit-fire these days and taking on his own, unique and funny personality. He knows when he is being naughty and will deliberately put his hands on the tv screen and look back at us and smile to see what kind of reaction he can get out of us. He gets overly excited at times and will use his teeth to bite not knowing that it hurts people, and boy are those teeth sharp! He’s starting to fight back when Alex takes cheap shots at him and pushes him over. I think there will be many wrestling matches in our living room in the coming years.

Alex is such a fun 3 year old. Anyone would be amazed at the types of conversations we have together and how much this kid knows already! We started a new daycare this fall because ours became too full and so far it’s going great and the boys love it. It’s geared a little more towards preschool learning so I think it’s a good stepping stone for Alex before he enters 4K next year.

Grandparents Day!

Our Grandparents are such special people and we are so blessed to have them in our lives.  They are constantly spoiling us and our kids and we get unlimited hugs and kisses from them.  We really can’t thank them enough for ALL the things that they do for us.  We love you more than you know!  Happy Grandparents Day to you Grandpa & Grandma, and GG too!

End of Summer

So Labor Day officially marks the end of summer or at least for us since Dave heads back to school tomorrow – Boo! I took some days off to spend with the boys so Dave could get his classroom in order and we’ve been busy, busy! Last week, we went to the Zoo with my Mom and then to Hoyt Pool with my Mom, Aunt Jenny, Hailey & Logan. We celebrated Annie’s last night home before she left for college. Alex keeps asking when we can visit her already!

Good Luck, Annie!  We will miss you :)

We also took Seanie to his very first Brewers Game on Sunday. We went as a family since the boys were able to meet the Racing Sausages and Bernie Brewer before the game. Sean sat long enough to see maybe one pitch of the game. Luckily, they had a big play land for the kids so Seanie was entertained long enough for Dad and Alex to enjoy some of the game. Maybe we’ll try again next year! Then we celebrated Labor Day at my parent’s house with a yummy cookout. I’m never ready for summer to end but we sure had fun with the boys!
