Gobble! Gobble!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and we were blessed to have spent it with both sides of our family.  We visited Grandpa & Grandma Michna first and enjoyed a wonderful turkey dinner.  Grandma surprised the boys with all the fixings to make Turkey cookies for dessert.  They had so much fun with a little help from Uncle Mark!

Then we headed over to Uncle Paul and Aunt Pat's house for a second round of yummy turkey!  Antoine and Theresa were in town with their new baby, Ariane, so it was nice to catch up with them!

We really enjoyed our holiday weekend together as family.  Alex had to write down all the things he is thankful for as homework for school and the list is endless!  We are truly blessed!

Alex loves Baby Katelyn!

The boys couldn't resist playing in the snow this past weekend.  They were sad to see most of it melt away by Sunday.  Alex and Dad played a little catch outside.  Sean reunited with his Cozy Coup once again.  All THREE boys had a little fun shooting the potato gun at each other.  We ended the weekend with a Christmas tree standing in our living room.  The countdown to Christmas has officially begun!

This kid makes me smile :)

Gotcha Mom!
Found the perfect tree!

The best part about picking out a Christmas tree is getting a candy cane from the clerk on the way out.  We had two very excited boys on the way home!

November Bdays

We celebrated the November birthdays on Friday which covered Dave, Mom and Jenny.  The kiddos had some much needed cousin time! Thanks for hosting Steve and Jen!  We had a wonderful time as always.  Happy birthday to you three!
Happy Birthday Jenny, Mom and Dave!
These two have more energy than all of us adults put together!

All smiles from Miss Katelyn :)
Alex had a fun week in school which included making homemade butter and Native American cornbread.  They also had a Thanksgiving feast of finger food on Friday!

Last week we celebrated my Mom’s retirement one last time with the nurses from St. Joseph’s Hospital.  They threw her a retirement party at Mo’s and about 30+ nurses stopped by to congratulate my Mom.  It was the perfect way to say goodbye and I was so glad I was a part of the night!

Dad's Birthday!

We had fun celebrating Dad’s birthday on Saturday.  We visited Annie at Juniper 61 in Tosa where she was our server and dinner was so yummy!  Then we went to Grandpa and Grandma Michna’s house for Daddy’s favorite dessert – cheesecake!  Seanie led us in singing "Happy Birthday!"  He's so cute!  Happy birthday to our most favorite person in the world!  We love you, Dad!!!

Someone's all tuckered out for the night :)

It finally snowed and the boys couldn’t be happier!  They were begging to go outside from the moment they saw the white blanket on the ground when they woke up.  All Sean talked about was doing an angel in the snow so he got his wish today.  Alex had fun jumping, sliding and rolling around in it.  Boys!
First real snowfall of the season!

Happy Retirement!

The countdown is finally over and my Mom is currently enjoying her first week of retirement in Marco Island!  She worked as a Registered Nurse for 43 years at St. Joseph's Hospital and I couldn't be more happy or proud of her!  Friday was her last day at the hospital and my Dad had champagne and flowers waiting for her when she got home.  We continued the celebration on Saturday with a fun evening at the Butler Inn in Pewaukee.  Congratulations, Mom!  Now it's time to relax and do all the things that make you the happiest!

Happy Retirement Mom!  We are so proud of you!!

Cheers to you Mom!  You worked hard and deserve a happy retirement!

Tyler's 5th Birthday

We celebrated Tyler’s birthday on Saturday with a great big Lego-themed party!  The kids had a ball together.  I've noticed there’s less fighting and tears among the cousins as the kids are getting older.  They really love seeing each other and play so nice together!  Dave and Rob ran them around outside with a friendly game of kickball and then it was time for pizza, presents and cake!  Happy birthday Tyler!  I'm sure it took you less than a day to put all of your Lego sets together!

Happy Birthday to my Lego-Lover, Tyler!

I was able to help at Alex’s school on Friday and participate in the Halloween party.  What a great afternoon!  There were many fun activities and games for the kids.  I helped the class make spooky Halloween picture frames.  They also walked in the parade that went throughout the school so they could show off their costumes.  The older kids made a tunnel for the kids to run through in the gym.  Alex had so much fun with his classmates and I was glad I was there to watch.

Sean is learning so much every day and I am just amazed at what he knows!  I received a phone call at work today from Miss Lisa, which is our daycare lady.  She usually doesn’t call unless someone is sick or hurt so I was concered at first and asked if everything was okay.  She said, "Everything is great!  I just had to call and tell you how proud I am of Sean right now."  Apparently he worked so hard on a project they were making at daycare.  He cut so nice with the scissors all by himself, colored and glued everything together.  Lisa said he did such an amazing job that she thought I should know.  I was one proud Momma.  That phone call made my day!  I am so proud of my little Seanie Man!  Way to go, Bud!
What a lil' ham!
Seriously, how cute it this kid!?!
He'll probably hate me in a couple years for posting this picture :)
