Summer Lovin'

I am lovin' this hot summer weather, although the humidity could go away any day now.  We met our friends Zack, Katie and Ty at our parish festival on Saturday where the boys had a great time riding the rides and being goofy together.  Alex's favorite was the big slide and Seanie even tried it out, along with the choo-choo train which he loved.  We have to get together more often because we always have so much fun with them!

We celebrated GG's birthday today at Papa and Nana's house since Great Grandma will be turning 92 tomorrow!  Papa and Nana set up their sprinkler hose for the kids to run through and it was just what they needed on a hot day!  Happy Birthday to you, Grandma!  We love you!!
Alex couldn't wait to ride the alligator this year
since he was afraid of this roller coaster last year.

Happy Father's Day!

Dave is such an awesome Dad to Alex and Sean and I love that he is so involved in their lives.  He absolutely loves every minute he spends with them and they are truly best friends!  We honored Dad on Father's Day with the best way we knew how and took him to a ball game to cheer on the Beloit Snappers minor league baseball team.  It was Snappy the Turtle's birthday so they had all kinds of mascots at the game celebrating and Alex was in all his glory.  Seanie warmed up to them eventually and gave high fives and waved.  We had fun but it was a hot one!

Then it was off to wish Papa Bob a Happy Father's Day where we had a yummy cookout!  I say it every year but I am so blessed to have such wonderful men in my life that have been stand up role models and have helped make me into the person I am today.  Happy Father's Day to all those men!

Pool Time!

I am on a roll with the blog this week mostly because I am off from work and kickin' off the start of summer with my two boys and lovin' every second of it!  My Mom and I took Alex and Sean to Wirth Pool today because summer was finally in the air for a day.  The boys loved it all - the pool, slide, sandbox and playground.  I was excited to see how Seanie would like everything because he had just turned one last summer and didn't really enjoy the water as much.  But he's gonna be a little fish, just like his brother, because they both love getting wet and are both so fearless!  We all had so much fun and it made for a great day!

Gearing up for our first pool day of the summer!

My big boy, Sean, havin' fun on the slide!
And he's lovin' it!
Havin' fun in the sun!

All About Tigers

Grandpa & Grandma Beyer treated Alex to a Zoo class for his birthday and the best part was that I was able to spend the day with him and enjoy it too.  The class was for 4 and 5 year olds and it was all about tigers which we both thoroughly enjoyed.  They set up different stations all around the classroom where the kids were able to learn about the tigers.  We learned how they hunt their prey and what they eat and what it means when their tail is up in the air or straight down.  You'll have to quiz Alex the next time you see him!  We were able to touch the fur of a tiger and their sharp teeth and thick whiskers.  Alex and I had a fun day together while Seanie was good in hands with Papa and Nana :)

Oooh, his fur is so soft!

Grrr..I'm a tiger!

Decorating the wild for his tiger to live.

I missed my Seanie today but I know he had so much fun with Papa and Nana!

Just like his big brother...

More Parties!

The birthday party celebrations continued through the beautiful weekend.  Our friend, Lauren, turned five years old and we had a fun afternoon at her house on Saturday with a giant bounce house, sand box, and yummy Hello Kitty birthday cake!  The kids had a blast together!!

On Sunday, we celebrated Miss Anna Banana turning two years old with an Elmo themed birthday party.  The cousins helped put their new swing set to good use with six little monkeys climbing all over it.  Anna was as cute as can be with her tulle skirt!  Only my Goddaughter would put down the Barbie doll to pick up a baseball bat:)  I love that girl!

Spring Sing

Tonight, Alex and Sean had their Spring Sing with the kids at Miss Lisa's Daycare and it was adorable!  Miss Lisa joined two other daycares and had the concert at Big Bend Elementary school.  The first song of the night was sung by the one and only, Alex Michna, which was the only solo of the night!  His buddy, Wes, was right beside him but didn't utter a word so the song, "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" was owned by Alex and he did awesome!  He stood up on stage, with his friend by his side, and sang his little heart out in front of a gym full of parents and grandparents.  What a courageous kid!  We're so proud of you, Alex!!

Enjoying some yummy treats and applauding the performances.
Maybe next year Seanie will participate a bit more!
