Thanksgiving Weekend

We were surrounded by so many of our family and friends on Thanksgiving, and for that, we have so much to be thankful for!  We divided the day in half and were able to celebrate with both the Michna Family and the Beyer Family.  It's a full day of eating, drinking and fun but I wouldn't want it any other way!

Everyone is looking so much older!

Seanie knows how to steal Grandma's heart!
Our four bedroom house was maxed out over the weekend with the Brenton's over for a cousin sleepover!  We had a great time and enjoyed watching the Grinch as our Christmas movie to kick off the holiday season.  Nothing better than falling asleep to the whispers and giggles of your cousins next to you!!!

Instant playdate when you wake up!

Enjoying some of Aunt Lori's chocolate chip pancakes!!!

We had a family fun day and took the boys bowling over the weekend.  It was Sean's first time bowling and he looked like a natural :)  He couldn't get over how slippery the shoes were on his feet!  He figured out real fast that it wasn't as easy as Wii bowling but he still had a great time!

Iowa Western Reunion

Dave flew out to Omaha to attend his 15 year Iowa Western baseball reunion with some of his closest college friends.  They are from all over the U.S. and we don't get to see them nearly enough but the guys always pick up right where they left off.  Dave had a fabulous time and came home with no voice from talking and laughing so much!!!
The Fab Four...Ben, Ryan, Dave & Kyle...15 years later!

Best buddies!!!

Such a great group of guys!

Mom and the boys had a great weekend as well.  "When the cat's away, the mice will play!"  So we did just that and visited our favorite mouse at Chuck E Cheese!  We haven't been there in years so it was something new and fun for the boys.  Seanie hit the jackpot on one game and earned 75 tickets.  We had a great time!

Chuck E Cheese!

Hangin' with Chuck E

Trying out the simulator ride!  So fun!

Sean hit the jackpot on SpongeBob!  Way to go!!!

We might have taken our last bike ride of the year!  We love riding our bikes to the pond by our house to explore and throw rocks.  The pond is starting to freeze over already.

Alex also lost both of his front teeth in a matter of two days.  The first tooth just fell out of his mouth while he was sleeping and there is was lying on his pillow next to him!  He wrote to the tooth fairy and found out her name is "Sparkles."  Losing both front teeth is fitting this time of year..."All I want for Christmas are my two front teeth!"

Last bike ride!

So peaceful by the pond!

Brotherly Love :)

Leaving his tooth for Sparkles!

Seanie and his shenanigans!

Fun at Papa and Nana's house!
Miss Katelyn came for a visit :)

Happy Birthday Dad!!!

Happy Birthday to the most awesome Dad in the world!  You are the funniest, most loving, kind-hearted person and we are so blessed to have you in our life!  There's never a dull moment in our house and I'm pretty sure the boys think you are the coolest big kid ever!!!  Thanks for ALL that you do for our family!  In the words of Alex & Sean...We love you times infinity!!!  xoxo

Happy Birthday Dad!!!
Miss Katelyn is all smiles with Uncle Dave!
Dave received the best birthday present of all when he watched his beloved Cubbies win the World Series Championship!!!  For someone that has always been a loyal Cubs fan wearing his hat proudly, even through losing seasons, it was fun to watch his team take it all.

Go Cubs Go!
Alex had a big, important night on Dave's birthday as he celebrated the Sacrament of Reconciliation at Holy Apostles.  He worked hard in preparation over the last couple of months and he didn't seem a bit nervous.  Father Ken told him he was a good boy as he walked away and Alex asked when he can do it again so I think it was a good experience!  We were so very proud of him!

We are absolutely lovin' this Fall weather and can't believe that Thanksgiving is almost here!  The boys are playing outside every chance they can get, although the sunlight doesn't seem to last real long anymore!

Seanie loves to get messy outside and play in the dirt!
Lovin' those carmel apples this time of year!

These two love their snuggle time together!
