Two more teeth!

Alex's top two teeth are finally in! He's got 4 teeth total now - two on the top and two on the bottom. He's been such a happy guy lately and so much fun to watch. He's getting really mobile and taking steps as long as he has something to hang on to still. He's working on his balance and is letting go more often to stand on his own. He's been really studying our mouths when we talk and trying to imitate what we say but it usually turns into a bunch of babble. Alex loves to rough-house and climb over everything. His most recent accomplishment: Figuring out a way to (safely) climb off the couch all by himself.

Always ready for breakfast!

Such a ticklish little boy!

Goin' for a pony ride!

Apparently, Alex had to crawl in his toy basket to find what he was looking for!

Nice hair, dude!

Silly Alex Man!

When will it be warm enough for me to play outside?!?

Waterparks & More

We took our first family trip to Wisconsin Dells this past weekend, along with the Beyer and Brenton clan. With packing for 4 kids, it looked as though we'd be gone for a week! It was the first time Alex was away from home for the night and sleeping in the same room as Mom and Dad. He adjusted wonderfully and made it really easy on us. Plus, he is finally back to his old self again after battling his teething issues the last couple of weeks.

It was great to get away for the weekend and it was fun to watch the kids playing so nice together! We went to the indoor waterpark on Friday and Saturday. Hailey and Logan LOVED the waterslides. Alex and Tyler took a dip in the pool but the water could have been a little warmer for them. We went out to dinner, watched the NCAA games and celebrated Rob's birthday on Saturday too. On Sunday, we all went to the theme park where we could ride roller coasters, bumper cars, go-karts and play all kinds of games. Alex had so much fun with his cousins all weekend. A huge thanks to Steve and Jen for inviting us:) We had a blast!!

This sure doesn't feel like my bath water!

Maybe this water is warmer...

Spring Fever

Alex has been a little under the weather the past couple of days, maybe even weeks. He's not eating as much and his night time sleep has been frequently interrupted. This past weekend has been the most uncomfortable for our little man. Besides fighting off the remainder of his cold, he's had a fever the last two days and just hasn't been himself. We haven't been able to feel his top two teeth yet but we caught a glimpse of them and they're ready to break through any day now. Poor guy's been drooling up a storm and gnawing on anything he can get his hands on! For the sake of getting his sleep (and ours), I sure hope Alex is out of his misery soon!!

Our sick little man downing his fluids

The snow is finally melting away and my two favorite Cubs fans are anxiously awaiting opening day!

Hailey and Logan came over for a playdate on Saturday and we had so much fun. Hailey and I colored pictures and painted our nails while the boys rough-housed and built lego towers together. Alex can't wait to spend next weekend in the Dells with all his cousins!

Nice sparkles, Hailey!

Those legos must taste good!

We can't forget about Baby Tyler! He was a real trooper with his Mommy and Auntie as we took him shopping all day with us. He made sure we didn't spend too much and let us know when to call it quits.

Seriously, Mom, you're taking me shopping?!

10 Months Old!

It's been awhile since the blog's been updated because the days are flying right by! Alex is growing up so fast. He's 10 months old today and developing his own personality. He's hardly a baby anymore but a little boy becoming more and more independent. He's been gaining his strength and will bravely stand on his own with no assistance. He's been wheeling around his walker from room to room but will usually take the easy way out and crawl when he sees something that he wants. Alex is becoming more affectionate and will sometimes give kisses (meaning opening his mouth and sticking out his tongue)! He's a little cuddle bug and still loves his sleep! He's a good eater and is more interested in the food that's on the table than his own so he's been trying a little bit of everything. He is a big time climber. If there's a little opening of some sort, he's trying to wiggle his little butt through. Alex is such a joy to watch and the best part of our day!

What do you mean, this isn't a jungle gym?!

Here I go, head first!

In honor of tax season and Mommy being so busy at work, I provide a little relief this year...
