We met our friends Katie & Zack and their son, Ty, at the Betty Brinn museum this afternoon and the boys had a ball playing together. There were so many neat activities but Alex's favorite was the big baby play pen where he could tumble and roll on giant blocks. Alex was the most outgoing we've ever seen him making friends with all the other kids and their parents too. He could have played in there all day!

Our Little Valentine
Alex enjoyed some heart-shaped pancakes for his Valentine's Day breakfast. We also make heart-shaped sugar cookies & Alex loved the heart-shaped valentine's he received from his daycare friends. We are so lucky to have Alex as our little Valentine this year!
Happy Valentine's Day, Baby Cakes!

9 Months Old!
Alex turned 9 months old today! He's had a very productive month. He's trying a lot of new foods. He loves cheerios, pickles, oranges, yogurt, graham crackers and bananas. This morning he had breakfast with Mommy and Daddy and enjoyed his first pancake (dipped in syrup of course). Lately, he's been a drool machine so I think he's getting more teeth soon to add to his two bottom teeth. He started clapping on his own and will usually do it on demand now. We're still working on waving hello and goodbye. He is crawling and climbing everywhere. He can easily pull himself up on furniture and walk around it. He's working on getting more balance to stand on his own. He's babbling a ton and squeals when he gets excited. He is still sleeping great (about 11 hours each night). He is so much fun to watch and makes us smile every day!

Celebration Time!
We all headed over to celebrate Grandpa's birthday tonight. We had cake roll for dessert which is one of Grandpa's favorites! It might not have been exactly like you remember it as a kid, Dad, but it sure was good! Our gatherings are getting more and more hectic as our family keeps expanding and the kids are getting older and more playful with each other. I know we have awhile yet, but it will be nice when it warms up so the kids can burn off their energy outdoors!
Check out my new big boy shoes. Thanks Auntie Joan!!
