Memorial Day Weekend

We had one of those weekends that you never want to end.  So many parties and so much fun!  We had graduation parties, birthday celebrations and Ann’s welcome home party from Spain!  Annie brought Alex and Sean back soccer jerseys from best players in the world – Ronaldo and Messi!  They are AWESOME!   The boys have not taken off those jerseys in two days!   Our weekend was packed with three nights of cookouts and fun times spent with family!  Doesn’t get much better than that!!!

Spring!!!

Alex had his Spring Concert at Holy Apostles last week and sang some of our favorite Broadway songs, including “My Favorite Things” from The Sound of Music.  He did great and he looked very handsome dressed up in his white shirt and tie.

My handsome boys!

Singing his little heart out!
Alex started baseball and he’s havin’ a ball with his friends!  It’s fun to watch him play a sport he loves so much!!!  We’ve been enjoying   the warmer spring air the last couple of days.  If it hits 70 degrees, the boys are running through the sprinkler.  We sat out at Alex’s baseball tonight and froze our butts off.  You know we are from Wisconsin when we go from swim suits to winter jackets in one day!

Baseball Season has started!

Lovin' life!
New Berlin had their annual Safety Day on Saturday so we walked around and had fun talking to the different police officers.  Alex and Sean each got fitted for a new bike helmet which was a nice bonus.  Law enforcement doesn't get the recognition they deserve for the hard work they put in every day keeping us safe.  They will always be close to our heart and we appreciate all that they do for us!

Sean's ready for a bike ride!

Mother's Day

What a wonderful Mother's Day spent with all my favorite people!  I am so thankful for my beautiful Mom and loving Mother-in-Law who would do anything for us!  And I am so grateful to be the Mom of two really terrific boys!  They bring so much craziness and laughter into my life making me the happiest person in the world.  I am so blessed with sweet boys, Alex and Sean!

Happy Mother's Day, Grandma!!!

Alex's Birthday

I can’t believe Alex is 6 years old!!!  Fox6 News reminded me when we saw Alex on TV for the “Look Who’s Six” segment which was really cool!  He’s growing up fast and gaining more independence.  I’m hearing, “I can do it, Mom” a lot more lately!

And just like that, Alex is reading books and writing sentences all by himself in school.  He is so darn smart and I’m so proud of the person he is becoming!  He has such a big heart and always looks out for his little brother, Sean.  He loves to be silly and make people laugh and he is especially sweet to his baby cousin, Katelyn.
He loves his sports!  You name it…baseball, basketball, soccer or football.  He’s so passionate about playing and it is fun to watch him excel.  He just started up baseball this past week which he is super excited about.  He loves being a spectator too and would go to every home game at Miller Park if he could!
We had a Lego-themed party on Saturday and it was such a fun day.  The cousins played kickball the entire afternoon.  We squeezed in a couple games including a Lego scavenger hunt, a Lego bean bag toss and a Lego piñata!  Happy 6th Birthday, Alex!!! You fill our hearts with so much joy and happiness.  We couldn’t be more proud of you!  We love you!!

High Interest Day

I spent the day at Holy Apostles on Friday for High Interest Day and had so much fun with Alex's kindergarten class!  It was neat to see the kids so excited over all the cool stuff they were learning about.  The big kids could pick what sessions they wanted to attend but Alex’s class stuck together all day and learned about reptiles in the morning. They were able to hold a dragon in their hands and wrap a snake around their neck.  They also learned about Tae Kwon Do and enjoyed a presentation put on by the Milwaukee County Zoo.  They finished the day making garden buckets to take home for Mothers Day.  It was such a fun day for everybody!!!

Great Wolf Lodge

We had a weekend full of waterpark fun at the Great Wolf Lodge in Wisconsin Dells.  Alex and Sean love the water and are risk takers on the slides.  It was fun to watch Seanie try out some of the bigger slides and he did great all by himself.  Alex tried every water slide in the park but his favorite remained the Wave Pool.  Alex really took Seanie under his wing and made sure he was okay.  He even held Sean’s hand and took on the big bucket challenge with gallons of water getting dumped on their heads!  It was a proud parent moment!  We all can’t wait to go back!!!
Family Fun at the waterpark!

"Mom, can we move here?!"

You see it all walking the streets of downtown in the Dells!

Can't pass up all the candy shops without getting a sweet treat!

My two little fish :)

I'm late on my post but we headed to Miller Park last week to root on the Brewers.  We were sitting in right field and Alex was watching Ryan Braun warm up in the outfield.  Next thing I know, he is pointing up at us and we get the ball thrown to us.  It made our night!

Thanks for the ball, Brauny!

What a great catch!

Family Fun at Miller Park!

Love those racing sausages!

Alex & Tyler also went to cheer on the Brewers last weekend!

These two goofballs got to hang out together :)
