Harvest Fest

We had a low key weekend which was nice for a change.  We spent the afternoon at Harvest Fest on Saturday for some Autumn fun at State Fair.  It was our first time checking it out and the place was packed!  They had everything from pumpkin bowling to stuffing scarecrows to decorating cookies.  There was music, food, games and rides for the kids.  It was a great way to spend a Fall afternoon!

Enjoying some tasty popcorn at Harvest Fest!

Nothing beats the bumblebee ride!

Checking out the Piggy Bank slide!

Working as a team to decorate their giant Pumpkin cookie!

Yes, there is a cookie under all those sprinkles!

Best. Cookie. Ever.

It was like the Fourth of July in our neighborhood with the Supermoon Lunar Eclipse tonight.  Everyone was camped outside starring up into the sky like there was a fireworks display.  Dave was glued to the camera and captured some super shots of the supermoon!  He's becoming quite the photographer with this hidden talent!

Happy GOLDEN birthday Mark!!!

We celebrated Uncle Mark's Golden Birthday over the weekend!  I can't believe he's 17 years old!!!  It was fun looking through old pictures.  He was barely 8 years old when he was the ring bearer in our wedding!!!  Happy birthday Markie!  We love you!!

Happy Golden Birthday, Mark!

Playing Candy Land with the birthday boy!

My little Seanie Monster :)

We had had a busy but fun week with the boys.  Sean started swim and LOVES it!  He did so well in the water and it was neat to just watch him with the instructor from the sidelines.  He wasn't shy and was definitely not afraid of the water!  Alex had another soccer game over the weekend.  He scored the first goal of the game and then played goalie in the 2nd half.  He did great and was so aggressive!  I get so much enjoyment out of watching the games!

Swimming like a Fish!
Alex had the winning goal and a shutout in goal!
Thanks for coming Uncle Gary!
It was Pirate Day at Krispy Kreme's on Saturday so we took advantage and dressed the boys up like pirates to get our loot!  Each kid walked away with a dozen donuts!  I think it was more for the thrill than anything else!  Arrr...Matey!
My fierce looking pirates!

Happy Grandparents Day!

Alex and Sean have AMAZING Grandparents that would do anything for them!  I love the bond that they've formed with each one and the happiness that is shared through activities, stories and endless questions!  Thanks for being amazing for our kids!  You are truly the best we are so incredibly lucky to have each one of you - Papa & Nana Beyer and Grandpa & Grandma Michna!  XOXO

Fall is upon on us which means soccer season has started for Alex.  He played in his first game over the weekend and did awesome!  He played goalie and scored a pair of goals to help his team win 6-1.  Way to go, Alex!  Sean is starting swim lessons this week and he can't wait!  He loves the water and I'm excited to watch him get stronger and more comfortable as a swimmer!
First soccer game of the season!  Go Alex!!!

Perfect night for a football game!  Go Ike!

Labor Day Weekend

We had such a fun time at Paul and Pat's for Labor Day!  It was HOT and HUMID so the kids found plenty of cold water to keep themselves cool and they had a blast with the slip n slide and water guns.  It's always a nice time gathering with our family, especially since we get together this weekend in honor of my Grandparents.  Their memories are so special to us and we seem to always find a story or two about them to share and laugh about!
Cousins are the best friends!!!
Cold Bomb Pops took the place of S'mores and a Bonfire!

I got to spend a few days with just my little Seanie Man now that Alex is back to school and Dave is back to work.   We spent some quality time together and I just cherish those moments!  We spent one morning at Helium and jumped our little hearts out!  We had a blast together!!!  We also went to the Zoo with Nana and enjoyed the train ride, carousel and playground - oh, and the animals too!

Nana was able to spend some one-on-one time with Sean last week, as well, and treated him to popcorn and a movie to see Shaun the Sheep.  They played some competitive games of Candy Land and they also went to Sean's favorite, Dunkin' Donuts!  What a fun week!!  Back to daycare at Miss Lisa's house tomorrow but he's excited to see his friends!!

We had so much fun at Helium!

Havin' fun on the playground!
Carousel fun!
We enjoyed this last week of summer and the hot temperatures that came along with it.  Sad to see summer is almost gone but we certainly had fun and made lots of memories!

Enjoying the 90 degree pool water at Swimtastic!
Dad made a baseball field for all of the boys' Teeny Mates!
What is it about boys and mud!?!
Final days of summer...
Bring on Fall and the Bonfires!
