Christmas Excitement

And just like that, Christmas was here and gone in a flash!  We enjoyed every second of the holiday season and packed as much in as we could!  We celebrated Christmas Eve at Papa & Nana's house with all the cousins.  Complete chaos with wrapping paper flying all around but smiles on everyone's faces!  We couldn't have enjoyed the magical night any more!

Merry Christmas from The Michna Family!
There's nothing better than the excitement on Christmas morning.  Santa is talked about so much in our house that he is like another member of our family!  Alex & Sean were overjoyed when they ran down the stairs Christmas morning to see what Santa brought them.  It's the best feeling in the world to watch them tear open those gifts and see them so happy!

Pure JOY on this kid's face!

Alex is one happy kid with his new Wii game!

Santa knows what this kid loves most!

Christmas Day was spent with both of our families and we were surrounded by delicious food and yummy treats all day!  The boys were spoiled once again with gifts and they were more than thrilled!    They are so lucky and we are so blessed with such generous and loving families.  We had the most wonderful holiday with everyone and we had two very tired boys by the end of it!

Thank you Aunt Ann & Uncle Mark for the super cool toys!

Alex could actually bounce and hold the bubbles in his magic gloves.  It was awesome!

Christmas Spirit

We had a fun-filled weekend to get into the Christmas Spirit.  We went downtown and checked out the beautiful Christmas lights and decorations including Cathedral Square.  Then we headed over the Public Market and the boys each picked out a sweet treat.  Alex had stories about the Gingerbread Man from school so we decided to decorate a Gingerbread House of our own.  The boys also helped me make some Christmas cookies.  We ended the weekend celebrating Papa Geno’s birthday!  Christmas is right around the corner and we are all so excited!!!

Breakfast with Santa!

We had our annual Breakfast with Santa at Grandma’s work and the boys were very anxious to tell Santa what they want this year for Christmas…LEGOS!  Sean was a little shy at first but perked up when he saw the basket of candy canes sitting my Santa.  They both received a stocking full of treats as well.  Alex made out his Christmas list and mailed his letter to Santa.  The boys colored pictures and got Christmas tattoos.  Thank you, Grandma, for inviting us to see Santa!  We are counting down the days!!!
We've been good boys Santa!!!

Grandma and her sweet grandsons!
Alex had a fun birthday party for his classmate, Wyatt, at Karate America.  He learned some neat defensive moves and the kids played some fun games.  We also decorated the Christmas tree this last week and my little helpers did a great job hanging the ornaments.  Also, St. Nick stopped at our house and Alex and Sean were very excited with the treats and trinkets that St. Nick left them in their stockings.  Alex loves his new Brewers watch and Seanie loves his new Ninja Turtle jammies!

Gobble! Gobble!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and we were blessed to have spent it with both sides of our family.  We visited Grandpa & Grandma Michna first and enjoyed a wonderful turkey dinner.  Grandma surprised the boys with all the fixings to make Turkey cookies for dessert.  They had so much fun with a little help from Uncle Mark!

Then we headed over to Uncle Paul and Aunt Pat's house for a second round of yummy turkey!  Antoine and Theresa were in town with their new baby, Ariane, so it was nice to catch up with them!

We really enjoyed our holiday weekend together as family.  Alex had to write down all the things he is thankful for as homework for school and the list is endless!  We are truly blessed!

Alex and GG - Love it!

Alex was helping with the Turkey cookies-

So thankful for this silly kid!

Cousin Love!

Alex loves Baby Katelyn!

The boys couldn't resist playing in the snow this past weekend.  They were sad to see most of it melt away by Sunday.  Alex and Dad played a little catch outside.  Sean reunited with his Cozy Coup once again.  All THREE boys had a little fun shooting the potato gun at each other.  We ended the weekend with a Christmas tree standing in our living room.  The countdown to Christmas has officially begun!

This kid makes me smile :)

Gotcha Mom!
Found the perfect tree!

The best part about picking out a Christmas tree is getting a candy cane from the clerk on the way out.  We had two very excited boys on the way home!

November Bdays

We celebrated the November birthdays on Friday which covered Dave, Mom and Jenny.  The kiddos had some much needed cousin time! Thanks for hosting Steve and Jen!  We had a wonderful time as always.  Happy birthday to you three!
Happy Birthday Jenny, Mom and Dave!
These two have more energy than all of us adults put together!
Alex and Anna watching a movie together...so sweet!
All smiles from Miss Katelyn :)
Alex had a fun week in school which included making homemade butter and Native American cornbread.  They also had a Thanksgiving feast of finger food on Friday!
Alex & Ethan shaking up their butter :)
Last week we celebrated my Mom’s retirement one last time with the nurses from St. Joseph’s Hospital.  They threw her a retirement party at Mo’s and about 30+ nurses stopped by to congratulate my Mom.  It was the perfect way to say goodbye and I was so glad I was a part of the night!

Dad's Birthday!

We had fun celebrating Dad’s birthday on Saturday.  We visited Annie at Juniper 61 in Tosa where she was our server and dinner was so yummy!  Then we went to Grandpa and Grandma Michna’s house for Daddy’s favorite dessert – cheesecake!  Seanie led us in singing "Happy Birthday!"  He's so cute!  Happy birthday to our most favorite person in the world!  We love you, Dad!!!
Celebrating at Juniper 61!
Happy birthday Dad!

Someone's all tuckered out for the night :)

It finally snowed and the boys couldn’t be happier!  They were begging to go outside from the moment they saw the white blanket on the ground when they woke up.  All Sean talked about was doing an angel in the snow so he got his wish today.  Alex had fun jumping, sliding and rolling around in it.  Boys!
First real snowfall of the season!
