Sports Weekend

We are a sports family and this weekend was right up our alley!  We went to the Eisenhower football on Friday night and cheered on the Lions.  The Chicago Cubs are fighting for a divisional championship and on the road to the World Series so Dave has been on cloud nine with cheering his team on!  We had soccer on Saturday and both boys had a phenomenal game!  Alex was a beast on the field and scored four goals and Seanie his first goal and put in another for two goals!!!  I might have lost my voice cheering so loudly!  We finished out the weekend on the baseball diamond cheering Alex on at his very first scrimmage with his new team, New Berlin Magic!  What a fun weekend of sports!!!
Let's go Ike!

Go Seanie Go!!!

Nice move, Alex!!!

I was able to join Sean on his field trip to Godsell's Pumpkin Farm on Friday with his 4K class.  It was so great to spend the day with Sean and see him in his element with all his friends.  The kids were busy collecting eggs from the chicken coop and they grinded up corn to make food for the chickens.  They had fun feeding the animals bread, lettuce, cucumbers and carrots.  We went on a hayride to find the perfect pumpkin.  Seanie was determined to find a green one!  We had such a wonderful time!!!

Wedding Day!

Dave's cousin, Ashley, and Jason tied the knot over the weekend and we were there to celebrate with them!!!  Ashley was a stunning bride and the wedding was absolutely beautiful.  The rain even held off for the ceremony as they said "I do!"

They share the same wedding weekend with Dave and I as we just celebrated our 10th Anniversary!!!  The past ten years have flown by and we've filled them with so many happy memories.  I can easily say they have been the best years of my life sharing it with Dave and my two sweet boys!  Happy 10th Anniversary to my dream guy!!!  XOXO

Congrats to Ashley & Jason!

Wedding fun with Annie :)

Soccer Saturday

Another fun-filled Saturday of watching Alex and Sean play soccer!  They did awesome and it’s so much fun to watch.  Alex came back from a 0-2 deficit and scored two goals to tie the game.  Their team ended up winning!  Sean ran his little butt off and was aggressive.  He’s doing a super job for being the youngest kid out on the field!
Way to go, Alex!

Having fun on the field!

Logan came to cheer the boys on!

Here come the fierce Panthers!

Playing with a smile on his face so he must be having fun!

And then this happened...
Not sure if this picture was taken before or after they kissed!
Grandma Michna took us to see the Brewers play their last home game at Miller Park.  What a treat!  We didn't make it to as many games this year so we always love the opportunity to cheer on the Brew Crew!  Hard to believe baseball season is almost over :(

Go Brewers!
On Friday, Aunt Lori was on babysitting duty as the kids had off from school.  We kept busy and there were minimal fights so I call that a successful day!  I don't know if the cousins realize yet how lucky they are to have each other, especially so close in age!  The "Lucky Seven" will always have a close friend nearby and someone that will always have their back!
Sean and Anna playing Legos :)

Alex & Tyler playing a baseball game, of course :)

Happy Friday!  Let the weekend begin!

Boston

Dave and I treated ourselves to a mini-vacation without kids to celebrate our 10 year anniversary.  We spent a long weekend in Boston to see the city and go to a Red Sox game.  Our lives slowed down a bit, we missed our kids like crazy but it was wonderful!!!

Dave, especially, loved the history of the city.  We enjoyed walking Freedom Trail and loved visiting the beautiful parks scattered throughout the city.  We walked 8-10 miles per day and that was offset by the delicious food and drinks we consumed.  We ate at Cheers where "Everybody Knows Your Name" and had to stop at Mike's Bakery on the North End which was highly recommended.  Getting to see Fenway Park up close and going to a Red Sox game was a dream come true!  It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip!!!
Boston Gardens with my love :)

Cheers!

Enjoyed a relaxing Harbor cruise :)

We couldn’t have left town without the HUGE help from our parents.  We are so incredibly lucky!!!  The boys were thrilled to spend time with their grandparents and enjoyed the sleepovers.  Grandpa and Grandma drove Alex and Sean to their soccer games, baseball practice and even a friend’s pool party.  They packed lunches, helped with homework and got the boys on the bus to school in the morning!  Thanks a million!  We left our boys in such loving hands!  XOXO

Hawaiian Party

We went to the back-to-school Hawaiian themed party at school on Friday.  The kids had a great time with their friends including dancing, limbo and lots of fun games!  I think we are back into the routine of school again!

Aloha!

Sean and Anna :)
Alex and Sean both started soccer this weekend.  I get so excited to watch them excel at the sport I love so much!  Alex did awesome and scored 4 goals in the first half.  He went on to play goalie in the second half.  That kid has a powerful kick!  This is Sean’s first time playing soccer and he did fantastic.  He’s like the Energetic Bunny out on the field.  He’s constantly running after the ball and not afraid to get in the mix of kids.  It was a great start to the season for both boys!
Good Luck Sean!

Go Panthers!

Thanks for cheering me on, Logan!

Let's go, Alex!

My speedy goal-scorer!

Unstoppable as goalie :)
Thanks for coming, Papa & Nana!

We went on our first family bike ride with Sean riding his own bike with no training wheels.  He did awesome!  He still needs to work on starting and stopping himself but he is riding on his own and I couldn’t be prouder of him!
Family bike ride around the pond :)

Mr. Smooth and Steady!
Riding bikes is the coolest!

We also got to visit with Baby Jack over the weekend and the boys loved being little helpers in taking care of him!  He's 11 months old and he's at such a fun age!  I can still remember when Alex and Sean were that little!  Boy, does time fly!
