Best Friends

I can't believe how well Alex and Sean have been getting along.  Sure, there is fighting that goes on too.  But for the most part, these two love having each other to play with and act goofy around.  Alex appreciates his little brother just as much as Seanie looks up to his big brother.  I had the last couple of days off and really enjoyed watching them interact together.

We even ventured over to Hoyt Pool this afternoon because it was hot.  I was a little nervous that the boys were going to run off in opposite directions so I gave Alex the lecture before we left to stay close to me and where I can see him at all times.  He was a perfect little angel and played with Sean the entire time.  Alex is always watching out for Seanie and I'll catch him putting his arm around him  or he'll say "It's going to be okay, Sean" to comfort him if he's upset.  It's just SO sweet!!

Outside fun!

Growing Boys

The boys had their wellness checkups on Friday and both boys are doing great!  Everyone at the doctor’s office knew the Michna boys in Room 5 by the time we left though because they had to get a bunch of shots :(  Seanie got his finger poked for the lead test and he got one shot in the leg, along with the flu mist.  Alex was the winner with 4 shots in the arm and the flu mist.  I wanted to cry along with them!

Alex is 42 ½ inches tall and almost 50lbs!  He had his blood pressure taken too which was good.  Alex is enjoying every last day of summer and is super excited to start school in a week.  We went school shopping for his supplies and the next day I got home from work, I found all of his crayons and markers ripped open and he had colored all over his new folder.  He said, “Sorry, Mom, I was just SO excited!”  Alex is full of stories and just makes me laugh on a daily basis.  I just love that kid!
My little fish!

Hang on tight!

Muscle Man!

Silly Boys :)
Seanie is 35 inches tall and weighs about 28lbs.  He is a little sweetheart but it takes him awhile to warm up to people.  He is a total Daddy’s boy after hanging out with Dad all summer.  I’m not sure how that’s going to go when Dad goes back to school in a week : )  Seanie loves to play outside, especially if it involves water.  He can be occupied for hours with his Cozy Coupe car.  He is tough and keeps up with his brother and is just as silly.  Alex and Sean play so nice together and love to chase each other and wrestle and giggle.  It’s so much fun to watch!  I just adore my lil' Seanie!

Brewers Fan Club

Alex, Logan and Tyler have been asking to go to a Brewers game together all summer and the day finally happened!  These boys are crazy together and were full of energy from start to finish.  We saw some baseball, of course, and walked around and had some fun in the Kid Zone.  These cousins adore each other and have a great time no matter what we do!

Miller Park!

Alex is a serious baseball fan...This first thing he did when we got to our seats was start paging through the game day book.  He knows all the players, even the Cardinals mascot, Fredbird :)

Best buddies :)

Bonding time with my Alex Man!

Busy Weekend

We had a jam-packed weekend full of fun!  On Friday, we met our friends, Zack, Katie and Ty, at Zoo a la Carte.  The beautiful night was almost ruined when hornets attacked our kids.  Alex got stung in the ankle and Ty got stung once on the ankle and twice on the thigh after the hornet got stuck in his shorts.  It was not a pretty sight for these two tough boys!
Seanie's enjoying a little taste of Zoo a la Carte!

Alex and Ty havin' fun together in the mister!

Alex's first bee sting and he was NOT happy!
On Saturday, Dave and the boys rooted me on as I took part in my first Dirty Girl Run with my friend, Julie, and her sisters and niece.  We all had a blast!  It was so much fun and nothing like I've ever done before.  Our favorite was the giant slide into the pool of mud.  I am still cleaning mud off my body after two days of showering!
We made it!
Had so much fun getting down and dirty with these girls!!

Alex wanted nothing to do with this "dirty girl."

We ended our weekend with a birthday party for our friend, Ryan, who turns two tomorrow!  Alex and Sean always have a great time with Lauren and Ryan and didn't want to leave, of course.  The weather was beautiful all weekend and we soaked it up!
This just melts my heart :)

Seanie's havin' a ball in the bounce house :)

State Fair - Take 2

We had tickets to use up so decided to go on the first day of State Fair and the last day.  We were on the hunt for mascots and Salt Water Taffy so it was kinda fun searching for them and we were successful on both.  We tried a few more tasty foods out and the boys and I went down the Giant Slide one more time.  We checked out a few more animals and Alex and Sean found the piggy bank slide too which was fun!

Alex was so excited to spot this mascot!

Seanie dove into the cheese curds!

Petting Zoo

We went to the Green Meadows Petting Farm today and we were pleasantly surprised by how much fun we had.  There was SO much for the boys to do and everyone there was super nice and enthusiastic about their farm. We were able to hold baby kittens and little chicks.  We fed the goats and a couple of them almost escaped on us.  It wasn't funny at the time when the goats were muscling their way out the door on us but we can look back now and laugh!  Alex was able to milk a real cow and Seanie went on his first pony ride and we all went on a hayride together.  There were so many fun games and toys for the boys that we spent almost four hours at the farm!

Seanie was NOT afraid of these goats and loved getting real close.

Playing some music on all the fun instruments.
