He did it again!

Alex has been sleeping SO good for us lately. In a matter of a night, he went from getting up every 2-3 hours to eat to now sleeping almost 8 hours! Let's see if this new sleep schedule continues!! So far it's been 5 nights in a row! Yeah Alex!

A day at the zoo...

We met our friends Zack, Katie and Ty for a day at the Milwaukee Zoo. Alex enjoyed his first trip to the zoo. He wasn't too fond of the giraffes as he cried his way through that area but the silly monkeys made him smile again. Alex and Ty had fun together and can't wait until they are big enough to ride the ponies! Great picture of the elephant!

Ty and Alex - Still not liking those giraffes!

5 1/2 hours...

of sleep! That's right - Alex slept from 11:30pm until 5:00am last night. It wasn't quite 6 hours so I don't know if he really "slept through the night" but I'll take 5 1/2 hours of sleep any night.
Another hard day

The stats are in...

Alex had his 2 month doctor appointment today. He now weighs 12lb 1 oz and is 23 inches long which puts him in the 40th percentile for height and weight. He got a series of shots which he didn't particularily like. It was hard to see Alex cry so hard and he looked so helpless just lying there. I was able to hold his hand but his sad little face still looked back at me hoping I would make the hurtful poking stop. He calmed down soon after and I think the Tylenol started to kick in because he was asleep before we even made it to the car.

Tasty medicine

Let me get this straight-
You're going to stick those FOUR needles in MY thigh?!?

Tough little man but still needed to be comforted by Mom

Buddy Bear is either getting a sweet kiss on the ear or Alex is trying to eat him!

2 Months Old

Alex is 2 months old today! He's so much fun to watch and it keeps getting better every day. He's interacting more with us. He recognizes our voices and coos at the familiar sounds. He lights up like a Christmas tree when he sees our faces and flashes us one of his all-gums grin. It just melts my heart! He likes to have our attention and lets us know when he's not getting enough of it (which rarely happens, by the way)! He loves to cuddle and is the most content just snuggling close to us. No complaints here! We see the doctor next week for his 2 month stats so stay tuned...
Is red my color?

Can I have another?

Little Firecracker

We skipped the traditional 4th of July parade this year but we still crammed a lot into the holiday. We had an afternoon cookout at Grandpa and Grandma Michna's and then we headed over to Grandpa and Grandma Beyer's for some more yummy food. We played yard games, whiffle ball, doused each other with water, played hide and seek, lit off some fireworks, made s'mores and ended the night with a bonfire. Even though Alex couldn't join in on all the fun, I think he enjoyed his first 4th of July celebration! Our little firecracker
