Well, Wisconsinites just made it through the coldest January with record-breaking temperatures of -60 degrees with the wind chill. Brrr! It was hard to take a breath in that kind of cold and your skin actually hurt to be outside. The kids had three days off from school last week between the snowfall and the cold temperatures! We survived the boring week at home; not able to get outside or go anywhere!
Yay! Snow day!!!
Having fun in the snow!
Shielding themselves from Dad :)
A little sledding fun!
We had to try the boiling water trick! Pretty cool :)
Sometimes these two really do get along :)
Sean picked out a few books at the Book Fair and he has not put the books down. His reading has really taken off this year and I couldn't be more proud! Way to go Seanie!
We've kept busy this winter with basketball for Alex and baseball practices for both boys. Alex's basketball team is undefeated and will play the championship game in a couple of weeks. It's been fun to watch Alex improve from last year. He's definitely one of the biggest and strongest kids on the court so he constantly hears me yelling "Rebound!" from the sidelines which he hates :) He's scoring a lot of points for his team so he's having fun with it!
Dominating the jump ball!
Ready to rebound!
Leading his team!
We celebrated Papa Bob's birthday last weekend with a Super Bowl party. The game was a sleeper but we still had a lot of fun! The kids all tried their luck with some old-fashioned games which included stacking Oreos and who could get the cookie in their mouth without using their hands. It was entertaining to watch! The kids showered Papa with their birthday love! Hope you enjoyed your day, Papa Bob!!! We love you! xoxo
