Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We crammed a lot in to this Christmas season and enjoyed all the magic that happens at this time of year.  We had a fun night of shopping with Alex and Sean before Christmas.  It's one of my favorite family traditions that we started a few years ago. Alex picks something out for Sean and vice versus.  The boys are thoughtful in their gift giving and then excitedly wait with anticipation to open their gift from one another.

The boys had fun, holiday parties at school to celebrate Christmas and more importantly the birth of Jesus.  I was able to help out in Alex's classroom.  The kids made an assortment of ornaments for their parents and they all turned out super cute!

We also listened to a beautiful Christmas concert put on by Alex, Sean and the rest of the Holy Apostles family.  The kids did a fantastic job and my boys were not afraid to belt out.  Alex even surprised us on the playing an instrument for one of the songs and nailed it.  Way to go!

Alex and Sean were lucky enough to get through the festive light display at Country Springs with Grandpa & Grandma Beyer.  We also checked out Candy Cane Lane with the Brenton's.  We made Christmas cookies together and put together a gingerbread house.

We celebrated Christmas early with the Michna's and had a fun afternoon of bowling followed by a night of exchanging presents, dinner, cocktails, Apples to Apples, and ended the night with Chevy Chase's Christmas Vacation!  So many fun memories!!!

Sean had Reid for secret santa :)

Alex loved his new PS4 game from Reid.  Super Meatball!
We spent Christmas Eve with the Beyer side at Grandpa & Grandma's house.  It's so much fun to see the excitement on the kid's faces when we open presents.  The night was filled with smiles, laughs, and pure joy.  We were surrounded by the people we love most and enjoyed a memorable evening together!

Merry Christmas Aunt Gail!
The best part of Christmas Eve was when the kids went outside to see if they could see Santa's sleigh flying in the sky.  They were tracking his location on the IPad. They think he got close enough to us that they were able to see his sleigh fly past the moon.  Pure joy on their faces!  They even heard the sleigh bells.  Doesn't get much better than that on Christmas Eve!

Christmas morning was everything we hoped it would be.  The boys were ecstatic with the gifts Santa brought.  They received most of the gifts on their Christmas list from NBA 2K19 for Playstation and a signed Giannis Antetokounmpo basketball card for Alex to a really cool Art Kit set and Rock Tumbler among other things for Sean.  Santa left them a heartfelt note along side the last gift to share which was an electric scooter.  We've all had fun trying it out!

Christmas break was a much needed break for everyone!  The boys spent some time playing Playstation.  We took advantage of some warmer temps outside and threw the ball around.  Dave treated the boys to a morning of jumping and Sky Zone and one day they had a fun afternoon of playing video games at Chuck E Cheese.  It was a relaxing, low key break that we all needed to start the New Year energized and on a high note!  Looking forward to all the great things 2019 has in store for us!
This was Alex most of winter break :)
