Big Boys Club

It's day four of potty training for Sean. I don't want to get ahead of myself here but I think the kid is potty trained already!  He's had a few accidents since wearing big boy undies but for the most part he is doing awesome!  He will either tell us he has to go, take our hand or just pull his pants down and go all by himself. I'm so proud of him!

Spring Break

It's mid-April and snowing!  Seriously!?!  The boys are all on spring break this week and enjoying their time together at home.  Alex finished up his swim lessons this past week.  The boys colored Easter eggs and both had dentist appointments.

Dave and the boys ventured out this afternoon and cheered on the Brewers at Miller Park.  Sean even went in his undies and no accidents!  I wasn't sure if Sean would make it through the game but he did great and loved the racing sausages.  He is definitely not afraid of them as he's giving them all high fives as they were leaving!
We love Miller Park!

Spring!

We spent the majority of today outside and it felt great! Loved seeing all the neighbors out in their yards, dogs running around and kids riding their bikes down the street.  Alex and Sean would live outside if they could.  We played soccer, baseball, rode bikes, went on swings, colored with chalk, chased the neighbors’ dogs around the yard and had a picnic lunch in the treehouse.  The boys are sleeping soundly and so will I :)

Enjoying the swings!

Treehouse fun!

Batting practice :)

Seanie's swinging the bat too!

Nice catch, Alex!

Fresh Air

Finally it felt like spring today!  We celebrated GG’s birthday this afternoon and were able to sit outside in the sun and enjoy some fresh air.  Alex played catch in the yard and Seanie chased around bubbles and colored with chalk.  They are just so happy to be outside!  Happy Birthday, GG!  We hope you enjoyed your special day!  We love you!!l

We had a busy, but really fun weekend.  On Friday, Alex got to see the Brewers play at Miller Park in their exhibition game.  Finally, the wait is over and baseball season is here!  He was SO excited and had a super fun time with Dad and Auntie Joan!  He even came home with the home run ball that Ryan Braun hit!
Holding Ryan Braun's home run ball!
On Saturday, Alex had another birthday party to go to at the Big Backyard and then we headed over to Papa & Nana’s house to celebrate Uncle Rob’s Birthday!  Is the weekend really over?!

I love how all the grandkids look up to Papa so much!

Feeling Better / Bday Party

Sean Man is feeling much better these days now that he is taking medication for his ear infection.  However, to get Sean to swallow the medicine is another story and a fight twice a day.  The bubble gum flavoring doesn't seem to help so we usually have to clamp Sean's mouth closed until he swallows and then chase it down with some juice.  Not fun!  But he's got his energetic, silly personality back again.  That kid makes me laugh every day!

Just chillin' with Dad :)
Alex had a super fun weekend and was invited to his classmate's birthday party on Saturday at Kids in Motion.  I can't believe how much energy these boys have!  They literally ran for three hours, taking a very quick break for pizza/cake/presents.  All of the kids seem to really get along and it's a great group of parents too.  We had just as much fun chatting away for the three hours while our boys played their little hearts out.

Hobby Night

Alex signed up for Hobby Night at school so he could display all of his bobbleheads.  We didn’t even bring them all but he had a nice collection to show off.  Others brought their Legos, stuffed animals, baseball cards, water globes, cars collection, and more!  It was a fun night topped off with ice cream sundaes.

My sick little Seanie!  He was complaining his ear hurt last night and had trouble sleeping .  I finally was able to rock him to sleep but he looked miserable in the morning so we took him to see the doctor.  Sure enough, he has a really bad ear infection which may still rupture and pink eye.  Dr. Richer pointed out that this is the first time we brought Sean in for being sick, outside of his wellness checkups, and that is pretty amazing for a 2 1/2 year old.  If Sean didn’t complain of his ear last night, I would have never known he was sick because the kid doesn't seem bothered by anything and continues to run and laugh!
This kid sure doesn't act sick to me!

No, Momma!  Boys only!

Our "Callahan" side came out for St. Patty's Day!  Our silly, little Leprechaun came to visit but, unfortunately, he escaped our trap this time around.  He left behind green footprints though and turned the toilet green and our milk green.  He also left some yummy, chocolate gold coins for the boys to enjoy!
Kiss Me, I'm Irish!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

"Everything is Awesome!"

We had a super fun weekend and one week closer to spring!  Alex saw the Lego movie over the weekend with Dad and loved it.  He’s been singing “Everything is Awesome” nonstop around the house.  He had a spring carnival at school on Friday and dressed up in a baseball-themed Hawaiian shirt.  He had a blast and told me all about the fun games and cool prizes he won.  He even tried to hulu hoop!  At school, his class has been talking about St. Patrick’s Day and the silly Leprechaun.  We made a “trap” for the Leprechaun before bed tonight so we’ll see what happens in the morning!
Decorated our "trap" with rainbows, shamrocks, a pot of gold and a lucky troll.  Then left some shiny pennies to lure the Leprechaun into our "trap!"
I think Alex was the only kid with a baseball-themed Hawaiian shirt!
No time to waste - 20 degrees outside and swinging the bat!
Seanie is growing up into this sweet and super silly little boy.  He’s talking a lot more and having conversations with us and telling stories.  He’s got so much energy and loves to watch Alex and follow what he does.  I can’t explain the silliness that Seanie brings to this family.  He is such a funny kid and I could watch him for hours with a big, huge smile on my face.  Sean is such an easy-going kid.  At daycare, Lisa said Seanie is everybody’s favorite because he’s always so happy and goes with the flow.   That makes me so proud!
Sweet Sean and his "baby"

Found a heap of blankets on Sean's bed and no Sean at naptime...
until I looked behind his shade!  Sneaky little stinker!

Might as well embrace the snow mounds while we still have them!

3 Degrees

Dave took the boys outside yesterday and today to burn off some energy.  They pushed their cars around and built a cool fort.  My boys love the outdoors!  When they finally decided to come inside to warm up, Dave looked at his phone and saw that the temperature was only 3 degrees outside and couldn't believe it.  He said, the worst part about it is that it really didn't feel that bad!  Yikes!

On Saturday, Dave and Alex went to cheer on the Bucks at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.  Alex had the best time and loved every part of the game.  He clapped for every point the Bucks scored and is starting to learn the rules of the game more.  We had to bring out the basketball hoop when he woke up this morning and shoot some hoops in our family room.  He was so excited about the game!

Alex woke up early and got himself dressed thinking he had school on Sunday.  The attire was complete with a Detroit Tigers jersey, Milwaukee Brewers wrist warmers and Spider Man sneakers!
Sean and I had a little date night and got to hang out with each other on Saturday night.  Doesn't get much better than snuggling with my little man with a bowl of popcorn, watching one our favorite movies, Toy Story.  Seanie achieved another milestone over the weekend and pooped in the potty.  It was a proud parent moment :)
Lookin' good with your kicks, Sean!

Yet another awesome fort that my boys love :)
