He's Walking!!!

Sean's a week away from turning 1 and he's officially walking!  In just a couple of days, Sean went from taking a couple steps here and there to full out walking.  I came home from work on Monday and when I walked through the door, Daddy put Sean down and said "Okay, Seanie, walk to Mommy" and he did!  He took about 10 steps all the way into my arms.  We couldn't have gotten him to do that again on que if we tried.  He's also been saying "Mama" alot.  I love it!!

You think I'm a fast crawler...just wait until I start walking!

Watch out, Alex..
Sean's going to be chasing after you in no time!

Low-Key Week

We had a low-key week which was nice so I just have some random pictures of the kids. Alex and I went to a movie in the park and saw Dolphin Tale. He met some friends while we were there and surprisingly sat and watched the whole movie with his cousin, Tyler. Seanie’s been showing us some of his tricks lately. He can stand really solid all by himself and he can even stand from a sitting position with no help. He took two steps on his own on Monday and he’s taken a step here and there since then so he’s getting really close to walking. He is so funny to interact with and my favorite of him this week is the stink face he makes:)

Go Brewers!

Alex and I had a special night out together and went to see the Brewers game with Aunt Carla and Tyler.  Alex loves everything about Miller Park.  He's still a huge fan of the Racing Sausages and Bernie Brewer but he also loves to learn the game and is constantly asking who is up to bat and cheers for the different players.  Carlos Gomez has currently taken over as his favorite player.  We even ran into Bernie on the way out and Alex was so excited to say hi to his "buddy."  The boys were so good throughout the game and had a blast together.  As we drove away, they said, "Bye, we love you Miller Park!"  How precious!!

Bay Beach

Even though it hit 90 degrees in Green Bay and we should have hit up a water park, we spent the day at Bay Beach, an amusement park for kids. What a great place to take the family! Most rides are only 25 cents (they used to be 10 cents when my parents took me as a kid). Tons of rides for the little ones and the adults got in the action too, including a big wooden rollercoaster. Seanie went on his first train ride and he did great considering he was cooped up in his stroller all day and didn't really nap.  We couldn’t wait to get into our air conditioned cars at the end of the day but everyone had so much fun!!

Seanie was happy to be out of the stroller with Nana:)

Miss Anna was a hot mess just like the rest of us:)

This would be Seanie on the ride home when I thought for sure he would be out cold from the long day.  He couldn't have been in a better mood.  What a trooper!

4th of July

We crammed as much as we could into the July 4th celebrations this week despite the temperature getting into the triple digits! We went to Malone Park for a 4th of July festival on Monday. There was food, music, games and rides but we didn’t last too long with the heat. We went to the Wauwatosa Parade on Wednesday morning with the Michna’s. We set out chairs early and thought we might be covered in the shade but we weren’t so we baked in the sun. The boys enjoyed the parade though. Seanie did great too for his very first parade even though we pushed his morning nap way back.  Alex's favorite part was Bango the Buck:)  Seanie was just happy to sit back and watch all the action.

Happy 4th!

Dumping water on our heads and keeping cool!

We had a nice lunch at Grandpa and Grandma’s house and then it was off to the Beyer’s for another cookout. Papa Bob set up the sprinkler hose and swimming pool so the kids had fun running and splashing around. We stayed up super late and made it over to the New Berlin fireworks at 10:00. Alex stayed awake for most of it but eventually fell asleep until Daddy woke him up just in time for the finale! He said he loved it!  What a fun day!

Seanie's 11 Months!

Wow!  I can’t believe Sean turned 11 months old today and I can’t believe it’s already July!  The summer is flying by and we’re lovin’ this hot weather.  So what’s Seanie up to these days?!  He can now wave to us.  He throws one arm up in the air for “So Big.”  His two top teeth just broke through this week to add to his two bottom teeth that he already has.  He eats anything in sight!  He loves pancakes, fruit bars, yogurt, cereal, meat, bananas, French fries, cheese, oatmeal, and the list goes on!  We just dug out a couple walkers for him to use and he will do endless laps around our house.  He can stand on his own but no steps yet.  He’s got such a silly personality and has the biggest, most happy smile (when he’s not Mr. Serious)!  He loves the outdoors and getting wet and he absolutely loves to be around his big brother.  He is the most easy-going baby I have ever seen and will only make noise if he wants or needs something.  He can get pretty vocal then!

Lovin' the water!

Don't forget the sunscreen!

Peek-a-boo!

Just chillin'

Silly boy!

Get those legs moving, Sean!
As for Alex – He is all about the baseball.  The kid is swinging the bat anytime he can whether it’s inside the house or out.  He knows just about everyone on the Brewers team and really studies the game when he watches them play on tv.  I caught him the other day spitting on the grass before I pitched him the baseball because “that’s what Rickie Weeks does” I am told.  Besides that, he loves splashing in the water outside and swinging on his swing.  He’s at such a fun age and I can’t wait for all the 4th of July festivities coming up for him this week.

Ninety One!

My grandma turned 91 years old yesterday so the family celebrated with dinner at my parents house.  She's a real go-getter and as active now as she was at my age!  She's an amazing woman and a wonderful inspiration to us all.  Happy Birthday to my sweet Grandma Callahan!  We love you!!

Grandma and her kids.  Cheers!
