And I'm back! Where does the time go!?! Alex started basketball right before Christmas and continues to play through the winter. He is on a team with four other friends from school and he is really enjoying it. I can tell he's much improved from last year. He's a solid kid on the court which is why he's especially good at defense and rebounding but he also scores buckets too. It's fun watching him play!

Sean impresses me every week with what he learns at school. He is making huge progress with his reading and sight words. I'm always amazed at how quickly his brain absorbs information. Next up at home is to learn how to tie his shoe laces!
Sean is such a sweet kid and here is just one example. The other day, Alex got into trouble because he was annoying Sean and was being extra sassy. So we took away Alex's treats for the next several days. Alex felt bad, of course. Then I look over and Sean has tears in his eyes. He says to me, "I didn't mean to get Alex into trouble. Take away my treats instead of Alex's." Seriously, this kid just fills my heart!

So we decided to try out the Escape Room this past weekend and see if the Beyer Family could break out! It was an absolute blast! We did end up breaking out with seven minutes left on the clock which is pretty remarkable since only 25% of groups escape. The facilitator told us we were the most intelligent group she's seen but we were the biggest Hurricane that she's ever seen, meaning we left the biggest mess! Ha! With two detectives in our group, they started stacking the items we didn't need in a pile making sure every last piece was looked over and scanned for clues. There was no doubt we were escaping! Such a fun night out!!!

| Way to go, Hurricane's!!! |
