The Boys

The boys are growing up so fast.  I can barely keep up with rotating the clothes in their drawers before they outgrow them!  It amazes me with the conversations we have with Alex.  It seems he is four going on twelve some days!  I just read a statistic that a 4 year old asks 437 questions in a day.  I believe it! Alex is curious about everything and very genuine when he asks questions.  It’s so amazing to experience the world through the eyes of a 4 year old.  He told us that a man came in his classroom the other day to talk to his class.  He said, “He wasn’t Jesus but a friend of Jesus.”   It happened to be the priest at Holy Apostles but what a precious viewpoint he had of this man.

Always smiling :)

Seanie has such a silly personality.  Not everyone sees his true colors because he is much more reserved than Alex but once he warms up, the kid is hilarious!  He loves to dance goofy and run around the house with just his diaper on.  He’s got a favorite pair of jammies that have cars and trucks on them and sometimes that is the only thing that will get him to fall asleep at night.  He absolutely adores Alex and wants to do everything his brother does.  He loves playing cars and Legos and Sean is SO dramatic and vocal with pretend play.  We are working on recognizing his colors better and just talking overall.  He’s been eating like a horse lately and will eat a peanut butter sandwich for just about every meal if we let him.
Seanie was watching some old videos of himself and thought he was pretty funny :)

With the freezing cold temperatures and school getting cancelled, the boys have been spending some quality time together at home.
Look at these snuggle bugs!

We were able to watch my niece, Hailey, play her basketball game on Saturday.  What a competitor she is!  She did a fantastic job!!  Dave and Alex went to the Brewers on Deck on Sunday and had so much fun.  Alex participated in some of the games and won some prizes and they even got their picture taken with Donavon Hand and Tom Gorzelanny.  They saw Bernie and the Racing Sausages as well.

Lookin' good, Miss Hailey!

Nobody's getting past this girl!

Hanging Out

We haven’t been doing much these days but hanging out in our warm pajamas.  We are all counting down the days until Spring and Alex has been asking about Opening Day already .  Uncle Mark let us borrow his Wii so Alex has been mastering Mario Kart.  He’s gotten really good and can beat me now.  Sean’s getting into puzzles more these days but his favorite are still his cars.  Both boys LOVE playing Legos but it usually ends in Alex building something “really cool” and Seanie taking complete gratification in destroying it.  Boys!

My sweet Sean :)

Great Wolf Lodge

Nothing beats a weekend in the Dells at a water park in the winter time!  We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge this past weekend and swam our little hearts out.  All the kids LOVED the water and couldn't get enough of the water slides and wave pool.  Alex was just tall enough to go on some of the bigger tube slides with Mom and Dad.  I love that he is a dare devil.  He even went head first down one of the slides all by himself.  I was so proud of him!  Seanie was all about the shooter slides and there was one tube ride he could go on which he loved too!  The cousins were bouncin' off the walls with excitement all weekend!  It was a perfect winter get-away and we can't wait to go back!

More Snow!

The boys had fun playing outside in the snow and even helped Daddy shovel...sorta.  We have to get these two balls of energy outside before it gets to our freezing cold temperatures!  Hope everyone stays safe and warm!   Hot chocolate will be served at the Michna's if anyone is interested in stopping by for a cup :)

What a cutie pie!

Love that smile!
Seanie is hilarious...
He insists on wearing mismatched clothes that are 5 sizes too big on him.  He's got Alex's boots and snowpants on and Dad's hat and gloves.  Whatever keeps you warm, little man :)

Christmas Fun!

Oh my gosh, where do I even begin.  The last couple of days have been a whirlwind of family, friends, food, laughs, presents and seeing the magic of Christmas come alive through a four year old and two year old!  We went to church and then off to Grandpa & Grandma Michna's house for Christmas Eve where we were all so spoiled.  We had so much fun and the boys were bouncing off the walls with excitement of Santa coming that night.

Christmas morning was so much fun!  The boys ripped through the gifts that Santa left them under the tree and Santa did not disappoint.  Alex's list contained Legos, games, baseball and Spiderman stuff.  Seanie loved all the cars he opened and the glow pet and big Lego Zoo.  We were kept busy playing with all the new toys until it was time to leave for our next Christmas celebration!

Hard at work Christmas morning...

This Ryan Braun baseball player was on Alex's list!

We finished off Christmas Day at Grandpa & Grandma Beyer's house with all our cousins and aunts and uncles.  The kids had so much fun telling each other about what they got from Santa.  We indulged in so many yummy treats all week and were spoiled by everyone.  We feel so blessed this holiday season to be surrounded by all the people we love!  Merry Christmas!!!
