Miller Park

We took Alex to his first game of the season to watch the Brewers play at Miller Park. You wouldn’t think a 2 year old could get so hyped up about going to a baseball game but Alex was ecstatic. On the way to the game, he said “Hurry Dad, let’s get there, I’m so excited!” He sat on Uncle Mark’s lap for the first hour and starred up at Bernie Brewer, waiting for him to slide down the slide. The racing sausages were his favorite, of course, and we sat right by the starting line. Everything came alive for this little Brewers fan. The best part for us is watching Alex’s enthusiasm. We can’t wait to go back! Go Brewers!!

Spring Break!

Spring Break sadly comes to an end today. Daddy and the boys had a very fun week together and it gave me a break too from our busy morning routine. The weather was a lot nicer than spring breaks in the past which was a bonus so the boys spent a lot of time outdoors. Daddy took Alex & Sean to the Milwaukee County Zoo with Uncle Mark this past week. The boys visited Mom at work and took me to lunch at Miller Park during the week. We finished the week at Swimtastic in Waukesha with the rest of the cousins which had a super fun slide and 90 degree bath water. Less than two more months until summer break!

Easter Weekend

What a weekend!  On Friday, we colored Easter Eggs.  Saturday was filled with an Easter Egg hunt at Marx Park, followed by lunch and another Easter Egg hunt by Grandpa & Grandma Beyer's house with the cousins.  Alex loved every second of it and Seanie got in on the "crawlers" egg hunt at Marx Park.  They got to see the Easter Bunny again too!

On Easter Sunday, Alex and Sean found their Easter baskets with all kinds of special treats.  Then we went to church with Grandpa & Grandma Michna and Alex even helped Grandma greet and hand out song books.  We headed over to their house for a delicious lunch and the boys were spoiled with more Easter treats.  Next stop was Grandpa & Grandma Beyer's house for a yummy dinner.  Alex played his heart out with all the kids and Seanie's bottom tooth finally broke through on Easter so he was a little happier, despite no nap all day!  We had tons and tons of fun hopping from house to house!!

8 Months Old!

My little Seanie is 8 months old today!  He is into everything and all over the house.  He loves to stand and climb so anytime we turn our backs, he's either up on the fireplace or climbing a stair or window ledge.  He's curious about everything and very quick!  Sean is such a funny baby and so much fun to watch.  He's such a joy to be around and we feel so very blessed to have him in our lives:)

He loves to climb stairs!

Such a happy baby!

Up to no good again!

Easter Egg Hunt

Alex & Sean met their cousins, Hailey & Logan, for an Easter Egg hunt in the Elm Grove Village. Too bad the weather wasn’t a little warmer but the kids didn’t seem to mind. They hunted for Easter Eggs with the Easter Bunny and then we went indoors for snacks, arts & crafts and they even had bunnies and chicks that the kids could hold. Alex was in awe of the little baby chick that he could hold in his hands. Pretty cool!

Climbing and Standing

Now that Sean is crawling, he’s exploring everything. He’s my little curious monkey that is now climbing up stairs and pulling himself up to stand. He likes to perch himself up on the ledge in front of our picture window and look outside. He’s gotten quite a few waves from people passing by! He’s almost 8 months old and still no teeth! His two bottom teeth look like they are going to poke through any day now and by the way Sean has been playing with his tongue and making clicking sounds in his mouth, I think he feels them coming too.

Guess it's time to baby proof the house!

Snuggle time with Uncle Steve!

Alex had his first sleepover last weekend with his cousins, Hailey & Logan, and he loved it! They stayed up late, went out for ice cream and acted goofy – everything a sleepover should be for a kid! I’m sure there will be many more to come over the years!  On Saturday, we celebrated Uncle Rob's birthday at the Ale House and then Alex had a playdate with Ty on Sunday.  The boys took advantage of the nice weather and played outside all afternoon.  Another busy, but fun weekend!

Backyard Park

We had three boxes of wood sitting in our garage all winter and we were finally able to make something out of it this past weekend with the beautiful 70 degree weather. After 2 days and 10 hours of hard work, we finally have our swing set! A HUGE thanks to Papa Bob, Uncle Steve and Daddy for making this happen! The boys’ love their new backyard park!! Without a doubt, it will be used every day this summer!

Countless hours of fun!

We had a busy weekend and most of it was spent outdoors. On Friday, Grandma Michna, Aunt Ann and Uncle Mark came over for a visit and we all took a walk to the park and pond. On Saturday, we met our friends, Lauren and Ryan, at Gymboree Play for an hour or so and the kids ran wild and had so much fun together as usual. The rest of the weekend was spent outdoors patiently waiting for the swing set. Alex practiced his baseball swing off the tee and Seanie discovered he doesn’t like the taste of grass!
