EGGS!!!

We are getting ready for Easter in the Michna household . The boys had fun decorating Easter Eggs on Saturday.  Then we had our Easter egg hunt with the cousins and Papa and Nana’s house.  Alex and Sean couldn’t have been more excited and were counting down the days all week long!  The kids did great and all had a fun time!  Two eggs are yet to be found!

I love my little Seanie :)

Great work, boys!

We are not letting the cold weather stop us from doing what we love best!  The boys played some baseball in the yard and we even kicked the soccer ball around a bit.  Sean is getting more interested in baseball and is really doing a great job at hitting the ball off the tee.  Alex is gearing up for his baseball season to start now that soccer is over!

No More Snow!

The snow is finally melting away and Spring is getting closer!  Alex's soccer finished up this past weekend.  It was the perfect activity to get us through winter.  Alex had a great time and learned a few more skills along the way.  It was really fun to watch him get better and score a few goals!

We dusted off our bikes and pumped up the tires for our first family bike ride of the year!  Sean's still got his luxury seat but, but before long, he will be learning too!  Alex does great on his bike and really enjoys riding around the neighborhood.  It's a fun activity that gets us all some exercise!

Thanks for the ride, Dad!

Lovin' his bike!

AHH...40 degrees!

Finally, we have some weather that’s tolerable and the boys are able to play outside.  Funny how 45 degrees can feel like summer after a long, cold winter!  Alex and Dad got to play some catch and Seanie dusted off his ol’ Cozy Coupe.  Spring is in the air and we can’t wait for warmer temperatures to come!

This kid can't wait for baseball season to start!

These two are back together again!
This kid LOVES the outdoors!

Keepin' Busy

The boys have been keepin’ busy despite these cold, winter days.  Alex is taking swim lessons through Swim America and is doing very well.  It lasts two straight weeks but hopefully he is becoming more comfortable in the water as a swimmer.   He has two more indoor soccer games and really seems to enjoy it.  I’m so glad he had some kind of activity to get him through this winter!

My sweet Alex :)
Sean is just full of life lately!  Everything is about the color GREEN.  He’s also been working with a speech pathologist at daycare a couple times a week and his speech is really improving.  He has trouble pronouncing certain sounds but he’s really been working hard the last few weeks and Sondra makes it fun for him!  I was able to sit in on his session today and Sean was so excited to show me what he’s learning and all the fun games!
My little camouflage boy!

So we made a deal with the boys for a chance to earn themselves a special toy.  Alex takes after his Momma and bites his nails.  We told him that if he stops biting his nails for a month, he will earn a trip to the toy store.  Sean's deal was that he had to poop on the big boy potty to earn a special toy.  We had enough of cleaning out that baby seat!!  Just like that, both boys held up their end of the deal and we were at Toys R Us picking out a new Lego set!  Yay!

Yay for the Michna boys!
It's a root beer float and sundae kind of day!

My two sweethearts on Valentine's Day!

Sledding Fun

Alex and Sean had some fun this afternoon on the sledding hill with their cousins, Hailey, Logan and Tyler.  They all have a blast when they are together and it’s fun to see the comradery between them.  It’s true that cousins are like best friends and it’s days like these that they will cherish for years to come!

Sledding fun with the cousins!

Seanie knew he would have a ride UP the hill too if he went down with Daddy!

Alex is havin' a ball!
These two are pure joy!

We celebrated Papa Bob's birthday last weekend so the cousins were together once again.  Papa Bob felt the birthday love as his Lucky Seven sang Happy Birthday to him and helped blow out his candles!  We hope you are enjoying your birthday week in Jamaica, Grandpa!  We love you!!!

Happy Birthday Papa Bob!
We met Grandma Michna for lunch this past weekend at La Perla which was a nice treat!  The boys could eat bean burritos any day of the week!  Grandma treated us to the Purple Door for some yummy ice cream!  Thanks for a nice afternoon, Grandma!  We love you!!!

Just sippin' on my Margarita :)

On his way to getting a brain freeze!

My Sweet Grandma

Heaven just gained another angel as my Grandma of 93 years passed away this weekend.  It's never easy saying good-bye, but it's comforting knowing that she is finally reunited with my Grandpa!

She taught us so much in life and she was one of the strongest women I have ever known.  I feel unbelievably fortunate that Alex and Sean got the chance to know and love their "GG."  She was a huge part of all of our lives and she will be dearly missed!

That beautiful smile is infectious!
