Memorial Day Weekend

It’s the month of birthdays in our family so we crammed a lot into this past weekend but enjoyed every minute of it.  It was Carla’s birthday on Saturday so we enjoyed some girl time and spent the day shopping.  We went to Stonefire Pizza for Hailey’s birthday last Wednesday.  Then we enjoyed a super fun bash on Sunday to celebrate Hailey’s 7th birthday and Logan’s 4th birthday.  What a great party and the kids had a blast jumping in and out of the pool to stay cool.  On Monday, we celebrated Steve and Carla’s birthday with a delicious dinner at my parent’s house.   What a great way to spend the extra long weekend!

Outside Fun

We took advantage of the beautiful weather and spent practically every second of the day outside in the sun.  We did nothing but play with the boys and relax all weekend and it felt great!  We went for a family walk, enjoyed picnic lunches in the backyard, cooked out Saturday night, played on the swingset and chased the boys around all weekend.  We better keep the Neosporin and bandaids handy all summer as Alex already skinned his knees and elbows multiple times.  Boys!

My sweet Alex picked Mommy a flower on our walk!

Mother's Day Weekend

It was beautiful outside and a perfect way to spend Mother’s Day!  We went to Grandpa & Grandma Beyer’s house and the Dads actually cooked and served us brunch.  It was a nice change and so delicious – we definitely need to have them cook more often!  We sat outside all afternoon and watched the kids run wild.  We headed over to Great Grandma Dix’s house next to wish her and Grandma Michna a Happy Mother’s Day.  We appreciate all the endless things that our Moms do for us year-round!!  We are so lucky to have such special women in our lives!!

Happy Mother's Day, Mommy!

The boys surprised me with "I love Mom" shirts!

Happy Mothers's Day to Grandma!

On Saturday, we met the Pubanz’s at Busy Barn in Fort Atkinson for a super fun day.  Lauren and Alex always have so much fun together and ran from one activity to the next.  They took part in the Hog Hussle and chased pigs around the pig pen.  It actually wasn’t as gross as you may think!  We saw an animal puppet show and then we all went for a hayride around the farm.  There were tons of animals the kids were able to touch and feed.  There was an obstacle course, hamster wheel and a huge slide stacked on top of some hay bales which was Alex’s favorite activity, hands down.  What a fun afternoon with great friends!

Birth Day

Dave and I both took off to spend the day with Alex on his actual birthday. We went to Chuck E Cheese for lunch, along with his cousin, Logan. The boys had the run of the place and had a great time playing games and trying out the rides. Then, after Alex’s nap, we took him to Miller Park for the Brewers game. We gave him a baseball glove for his birthday and he brought it with him and wore it the entire game! Our whole section was trying to get the birthday boy a ball but no such luck. We had such a great time spending the day with our little Alex Man!!

Alex is THREE!

Alex turned 3 years old today and we celebrated with a party on Saturday with family.  It was ballpark themed so we had nachos, pretzels, popcorn, licorice ropes, cracker jacks and we had the racing sausages for dinner - Hotdogs, Brats, Polish, Italians and Chorizo.  The cake had a big #3 Italian Racing Sausage on it.  The weather turned out descent and the kids were able to play outside.  Alex was so excited everybody came over to celebrate with him!

The Polish Sausage made a special visit to say hi to the birthday boy.  Alex was on cloud nine and thought having the Polish Sausage at our house was super cool.  The kids ran races with the Polish, gave high fives, took turns at hitting open the pinata, we took pictures and Alex even got the Polish's autograph.

Alex received so many nice gifts from everybody - Harley Davidson trike, soccer goal, basketball hoop, Lighting McQueen laptop, Italian racing sausage backpack, Brewers jersey, Polish & Italian socks, Bernie Brewer cap, sprinkler, chalk, bubbles, trucks, clothes and pajamas.  What a lucky boy!

Happy Birthday, Alex!  You are an amazing kid with a spunky personality.  We love your silly dance moves and your quirky comments keep us laughing all day long.  We are so blessed to have you in our lives!  We are so proud of you and love you SO much!!

Hugs for the Polish!

9 Months Old!

Seanie is 9 months old today! He is growing up so fast!! He's crawling, standing and climbing everywhere and he definitely puts up a good fight when his older brother knocks into him. He's a good eater so far but I feel like I fell behind on introducing table food to him so we just started to experiment with some things. I broke up a piece of bread for him to eat the other day and I couldn't get it to him fast enough. He was literally ripping it out of my hands. He seems to really like bananas too. Sean's such a silly baby and makes us laugh constantly and he’s got a really high squeal when he gets excited. He needs to be around us all the time or at least have us in sight or he will come find us. He continues to sleep really well for us and still loves that little thumb of his. I still find it cute! Overall, Seanie is a happy 9 month old and puts a smile on our faces from ear to ear.
Gimme some food!
