Wave Camp / State Fair / Wrigley Field

The boys had a super fun week at the Wave Camp together.  The players are so down-to-earth and friendly with the kids.  They signed autographs for the boys and took pictures at the end.  The camp ended with a water gun fight among all the campers and coaches.  It was such a great time!!!  Now that baseball is over, I'm ready to cheer for soccer!!!
Havin' fun at soccer camp!
Hanging with the Wave!
Such a fun week for the boys!

Thanks to all the Wave coaches for a fun week of soccer!
We squeezed in a night of State Fair on Friday and had a great time!  We saw a comedy act which we all loved.  Dave was even part of the show!  We treated ourselves to deep-fried Oreos.  Yum!  We got our fill of flavored milk and tasted a few other things along the way.  Such a great night with the fam!

Testing out the flavors of milk.  Root beer is still our favorite!!!

Deep fried Oreos!!!  Sooo good!
The comedian made Dave part of the show!  LOL!

Ran into one of my favorite coaches at Pius - my volleyball coach, Mr. Scher!!!

The Lambeau Leap!

The boys said their favorite part of State Fair is the Skyglide :)
Alex received tickets to see the Cubs play at Wrigley for his birthday back in May from Jill and John.   He hasn't been to Wrigley since he was four and Sean has never been there so we were all really looking forward to going.  The temperature hit 98 degrees so it was a hot one but luckily we were in the shade.  Despite the heat, we had a great time!  It's always good to back at Wrigley cheering on Dad's favorite team!!!
We made it to Wrigley!!!

Let's go Cubbies!

Staying cool with ice cream :)

We found Cubbie Bear!!!

Summer Happenings

I can't keep up with how busy we've been or how fast summer is zipping by us.  Every day seems like a new adventure and we are enjoying every moment. We are having so much fun and enjoying our time off from school.  We love the hot weather and we usually end up at some kind of pool to cool off.  Here's a few of our daily adventures....

The boys had to check out the new playground at HA!

Alex hooped it up at the CMH basketball clinic!
Visited Grandma at the Badger Mutual event at the Zoo!

Taking a dip with Annie and Reid at their hotel with an outdoor pool!
Same form and everything!
Hanging with Baby Jack :)
Met up with Julie and Amber at The Corners for music, beer and food trucks!  I couldn't ask for two better best friends that I've known since 1st grade!!!

This next adventure needs an explanation.  We went to Wirth Pool to swim.  I see my little dare devil, Sean, jump off the low diving board and flip into a somersault.  A little while later, he comes over by me and says, "Mom, did you see me on the high dive?"  I said no and he said, "Watch, I'm going to do a flip."  I give him my motherly warning but he said he did it before and just come watch.  So I go over to the high dive with my camera in hand and I video tape him flipping off the high dive.

As I'm turning my camera off, I hear the lifeguard above me yell over to see if he's okay.  Next thing I know, the lifeguard is diving in after Sean.  Apparently, his tummy hit the water and took his breath away a bit.  The lifeguard saw him crying in the water so jumped in after him!  While I was relieved he was okay, we both learned a very valuable lesson!  I don't think he will be flipping off diving boards anymore.  And although I think Sean could have made his way to the ladder, I was thankful for the fast reaction from the lifeguard!

Love that smile!
He could swim every day!

Swimming with cousins is the best!

Helfaer Field

Alex was lucky enough to play at Helfaer Field this month with his U9 New Berlin Magic team.  What a neat experience for the the boys!  They all feel like super stars on that field with Miller Park majestically sitting in the background.  Such a fun afternoon of baseball and Alex had quite the fan club at his game!  Thanks to all that came to root the boys on to victory!

What an incredible view!

Way to go NB Magic!

Alex's fan club!
Alex's team finished another tournament this month in 1st place at Wirth Park in Brookfield.  That makes it the fifth tournament this year as champions.  That's a pretty incredible accomplishment for these boys!  Their camaraderie is unmatched and is the reason why they are so successful.  Way to go boys!  A well-deserved championship!

Alex's cheering section!

Sean's baseball season came to an end as well this month.  He did amazing and it was so much fun to watch him grow and improve.  He gets the game and wants to be a part of every play making outs.  He made quite a few great plays and stepped it up as a leader on his team.  Can't wait to see what the future holds for this kid!

He's ready at first base!

Making plays for his team!

Ready to rip one to the outfield!
He's lightening fast!  Look at that determination on his face!!!
