FINALLY!

It's finally Spring!  We were able to play outside in short sleeves, without jackets, and not be cold.  It was wonderful!  The boys played their hearts out this weekend and took out and played with every outside toy that had been abandoned for the last six months.  We played soccer, baseball, blew bubbles and drew the racing sausages on the driveway with chalk.  Dad cut the lawn for the first time, Alex rode his big boy bike and Seanie finally got to push around his Tow Mater that he got for Christmas.  The swing set was a hit with both boys, especially since Seanie can climb and swing more easily this year.  It was so nice to soak up the sun and enjoy the warm air for a change!

Indoor Stuff

We're still finding all kinds of fun things to do indoors since this winter weather doesn't want to leave us.  Alex was in swim lessons at the YMCA with his cousin, Tyler.  The boys did awesome and were completely on their own with just the instructor after the first few weeks.  Alex's favorite part was jumping into the water and, I swear, the whole place would stop and gawk because he would get up so high in the air.  I can't believe how independent Alex is getting.  How did this kid grow up so fast!?!

Seanie makes me laugh everyday.  He definitely has a touch of the Beyer gene from Papa Bob and Grandpa Beyer where everything has it's place and everything needs to be super tidy and clean.  We've already caught him taking a rag and cleaning each individual matchbox car.  He has been in this phase where he likes to take his pants off and run around half-naked.  Some mornings, it feels like I get him dressed no less than four times.  He is babbling ALOT and it always seems like he has a story to tell.  He's so passionate in getting his message across to us when he knows what he wants and will take our hand and lead the way.  He's still a thumb-sucker and has been more attached to his Elmo doll lately.  He absolutely loves, loves, LOVES the show, Mr. Bean, and would watch it all day long if he could.

Alex & Seanie both have such silly personalities and they bring so much happiness into our lives.  I just love them so much!!

It took Seanie a couple hours of gnawing away at this "bapple," but he nearly ate it down to the core!

Easter Weekend

We had a jam-packed weekend filled with Easter activities.  On Friday, we went to Grandpa & Grandma Beyer's for our annual Easter egg hunt with the cousins.  We also celebrated Uncle Rob's birthday.  Then when we woke up Saturday morning, Alex and Mom zipped over to Pick n Save at 7:30am for their Easter egg hunt.  Alex filled his basket with goodies and even won 2nd prize!

Alex and Dad finally got to see the Brewers play at Miller Park on Saturday.  Alex had been counting down the days until the season started and he even caught a ball hit by Rickie Weeks.

Game Ball!  Nice hotdog face, Alex :)

The boys were so excited to find their baskets on Easter morning.  It took Alex like 30 seconds to find his so hopefully the Easter Bunny can find a little better hiding spot next year!  We went to church with Grandpa & Grandma Michna and then headed to their house for some Easter fun and to celebrate GG MaryAnn's Birthday.  Then it was off to Grandpa & Grandma Beyer's house for another celebration and more yummy treats!

Coloring Eggs

We enjoyed a lazy Sunday which included relaxing, napping, watching movies and coloring Easter eggs.  It was wonderful!  The boys did great with decorating the eggs and can't wait for the Easter Bunny to come next weekend.  Then we went to Grandpa and Grandma Michna's for some Papa Murphy's pizza.  Yum!

Excited to start coloring the Easter eggs...

Seanie used the whisk to help dunk and not break any eggs!
Alex was havin' a good time with the different colors.

Easter Bunny

We've had rain, wind and cold on our past Easter egg hunts, and now this year, we can add snow to the list.  It didn't feel right bundling the kids up and putting the boys in boots this year but the kids didn't seem to mind and had fun filling their baskets anyways.  Alex wanted to race all the kids and he did pretty well scooping up as many eggs as he could find.  Seanie was just happy the whistle finally blew for him to start collecting eggs and he was very proud of the one egg he found.  We said hi to the friendly Easter Bunny and the boys each got to take home some treats so they were happy.

Spring Fun

The snow isn't going to stop us from having our Spring fun at the Michna house.  We were outside today running around, swinging on swings and going down the slide on our swing set.  It's hard to believe that it was 75 degrees a year ago and we were wearing shorts on St. Patty's Day.  The snow was all melted and we were just setting up the swing set for the boys.  At least we know Spring is right around the corner but wishing it would get here sooner than later!

Ready for Spring...

The boys are hanging in the there with winter but we are SO ready for spring to be here.  Alex got a taste of Miller Park on Saturday when he went to lunch at TGI Fridays with Daddy, Auntie Joan and John.  Seanie has been talking up a storm...please, thank you, love you, snow, pizza, milk, water, Elmo and baseball are just some of his common vocabulary.  He is repeating after us and some of the words he can really nail and sound out right.

Dave and I had Grandpa and Grandma Beyer come over to babysit on Saturday night while we had a night out and enjoyed a delicious dinner at Eddie Martini's.  What a treat!  Alex kept asking us all day if it was a special day for us and if we were getting married :)
