Easter Egg Hunt

Alex & Sean met their cousins, Hailey & Logan, for an Easter Egg hunt in the Elm Grove Village. Too bad the weather wasn’t a little warmer but the kids didn’t seem to mind. They hunted for Easter Eggs with the Easter Bunny and then we went indoors for snacks, arts & crafts and they even had bunnies and chicks that the kids could hold. Alex was in awe of the little baby chick that he could hold in his hands. Pretty cool!

Climbing and Standing

Now that Sean is crawling, he’s exploring everything. He’s my little curious monkey that is now climbing up stairs and pulling himself up to stand. He likes to perch himself up on the ledge in front of our picture window and look outside. He’s gotten quite a few waves from people passing by! He’s almost 8 months old and still no teeth! His two bottom teeth look like they are going to poke through any day now and by the way Sean has been playing with his tongue and making clicking sounds in his mouth, I think he feels them coming too.

Guess it's time to baby proof the house!

Snuggle time with Uncle Steve!

Alex had his first sleepover last weekend with his cousins, Hailey & Logan, and he loved it! They stayed up late, went out for ice cream and acted goofy – everything a sleepover should be for a kid! I’m sure there will be many more to come over the years!  On Saturday, we celebrated Uncle Rob's birthday at the Ale House and then Alex had a playdate with Ty on Sunday.  The boys took advantage of the nice weather and played outside all afternoon.  Another busy, but fun weekend!

Backyard Park

We had three boxes of wood sitting in our garage all winter and we were finally able to make something out of it this past weekend with the beautiful 70 degree weather. After 2 days and 10 hours of hard work, we finally have our swing set! A HUGE thanks to Papa Bob, Uncle Steve and Daddy for making this happen! The boys’ love their new backyard park!! Without a doubt, it will be used every day this summer!

Countless hours of fun!

We had a busy weekend and most of it was spent outdoors. On Friday, Grandma Michna, Aunt Ann and Uncle Mark came over for a visit and we all took a walk to the park and pond. On Saturday, we met our friends, Lauren and Ryan, at Gymboree Play for an hour or so and the kids ran wild and had so much fun together as usual. The rest of the weekend was spent outdoors patiently waiting for the swing set. Alex practiced his baseball swing off the tee and Seanie discovered he doesn’t like the taste of grass!

Spring Weather

It was SO beautiful outside today that we spent the majority of the day enjoying the unusual warm air, although I have no pictures to show for it. Alex had a very fun week. We started swim lessons on Wednesday and he was thrilled. While we were all sitting by the pool listening to the instructor before class started, he poked me with a huge grin and whispered, “Mama, I’m really excited!” That made my day!

On Saturday, Auntie Joan took Alex & Sean to TGI Fridays at Miller Park. Alex was so excited to see the ball park and even got a window seat with a view of the field during lunch. On the way home, they stopped in the Team Shop and Alex took home the remaining Racing Sausages to add to his collection. The kid was on cloud 9 all day! Thanks Auntie Joan!!
Alex had to gather all of his Racing Sausages for storytime before bed tonight.

He sleeps with ALL of them every night  They even get tucked in!

Enjoying a Shamrock shake after swim lessons!  YUM!!

Sean had been crawling a little here and there but not consistently until today.  It was like something just clicked overnight and now he can crawl the length of a room.  We have been increasing the amount of baby food he eats and he seems to really like the different flavors.  Still not a fan of the greens though!  Teeth have not popped through yet but I think his two bottom teeth are getting close.  He is such a happy baby and is content playing on the floor with his toys or just laughing at Alex.

Catch me if you can!

My silly boys:)
Sean kept looking over his shoulder at Dad and laughing so it was a little hard to get all the turkey and rice dinner into his mouth.

Snow / 7 Months

Alex was happy to see some snow fall this weekend and had fun playing in it on Friday.  On Saturday, he went to his very first movie and saw Happy Feet Two with Hailey & Logan.  I think he thought it was neat and enjoyed the experience of the big screen and buttery popcorn but he got a little antsy towards the end of it so I don't know if we will be back anytime real soon.  Alex has been doing really well with potty training.  He still wears a diaper during naps and at bedtime but, besides that, I can't remember the last time he had an accident.  He's also been going to bed better for us and falling asleep on his own like a big boy!  Yay for Alex!!

Havin' fun in the snow/rain!

Seriously, Mom, some privacy please!

I wish this picture had turned out better because I love their facial expressions!

Hanging out with Daddy!

I can't believe it, but Sean is already 7 months old!  He weighs about 19.5lbs and is 26.5 inches long.  There's not much to complain about over here.  He's still eating and sleeping like a champ.  Crawling hasn't taken off yet, although he's crawled a few times for us.  Once he gets the hang of it, I'm sure there is no stopping him to keep up with his brother.  Sean plays really nice with his toys and loves it when a blanket or toy covers up his face.  What a silly baby!!

Who's that cute baby looking at me?!

He's Moving!

We officially have a crawler on our hands. Sean has been getting so close to crawling that I knew it wouldn't be long. Daddy witnessed 4 forward movements tonight across our family room. Way to go, Seanie!

Go Seanie!!

It makes my day to come home from work and see their smiling faces. It doesn't take much to get Seanie to smile or laugh. Lately, Alex has been his comic relief making silly faces and acting goofy. Alex loves the attention and is egged on by the belly laughs that has Sean gasping for air!

Brotherly Love!

Just look at that adorable smile:)
